Bleeding on BC

Hello! I started birth control 10 days ago because I have an shg next week and we get the dates for IVF then too. I had a weird period while starting bc, less than 48 hours of a period, and then on day 8 I started bleeding, the old brown blood. Has anyone else experienced that? I never bleed mid-cycle, heck not even mid cycle yet. My nurse said it should be okay and since I'm going in next week they will make sure. 

After a very long two years and us finally making the steps to do IVF the first darn thing I have to do, start birth control, and my body is freaking out.

    @akcrowe the same thing happened to me. I was worried at first but when I asked RE he said it was completely normal. I bleed practically the whole time I was on BC and even a few days after I stopped. According to RE its the way some people react to the pills.

    Same thing for me too! RE said the same thing to me, totally normal! Sadly I have had brown spotting (light to heavy- it varies) and some blood staining for 12 days. Misery but normal! Don't worry about it.
    Me 30 || DH 36
    Unexplained Infertility- Postive for MTHFR Gene Mutation

    Natural cycles with 1 miscarriage
    -3 IUI's w/ Clomid= BFN 
    -IVF #1-Follistim and Menopur= BFN
    ***11 Eggs, 10 mature, 8 fertilized, transferred 1 (day 5) 2 made it to freeze
    -FET #1- Transferred 2, day 5 embryos =BFN
    -IVF #2- Follistim and Menopur = BFN
    ***11 retrieved, 8 mature, 6 fertilized, transferred 2 (day 3), 4 made it to freeze (Follistim and Menopur) = BFN
    -FET #2- Transferred 2, day 3 embryos = BFN
    **Changed doctor**
    -IUI #4- natural cycle = BFN
    -IUI #5- Follistim (5 eggs) BFP- lead to Miscarriage  :'(
    -Laproscopic Surgery for Endometriosis, Polyp removal and Cyst removal. 
    -IVF #3- Menopur, Follistim, Lupron, Ganirellex- BFP lead to Eptopic Pregnancy  :'(
    ***11 Eggs retrieved, 10 Mature, 8 fertilized, transferred 3 embryos (day 3), 0 made it to freeze
    -Lapropscopic surgery- Removal of Fallopian Tube
    -IVF #4- Estrogen Priming with Vivelle dot, Menopur, Follistim, Ganirellex- BFP  :)
    ***15 Eggs retreived, 11 mature, 11 fertilized, 2 embryos transferred (day 3), 2 made it to freeze
    Found out I was positive for MTHFR Gene Mutation during TWW of IVF #4

    Thank you ladies! I guess this is just the start to figuring out how my body will react to things.

    I had the same as Colleen plus yucky hormone emotional mood swings, it's lovely!

    Ditto. Had old blood spotting for 15 or so days of the 21 days of bc. Super annoying, but normal.

    Yup- it's normal.

    Literally just emailed my nurse about this. Said it's all normal and won't delay our timeline/stims/ET. Annoying, but normal!
