I hope I don't get flamed for this, but my levels on my hcg made me a little nervous.  My first one was 285 and my second one was 569.  So it pretty much doubled, but was one point shy.  The only thing I have to go by is my pregnancy with my ds and that pregnancy started out with twins, so my second HCG was 1600+.  I guess I'm just nervous.  The doctor said it was good but said I could do a third test if I wanted.  Am I being crazy??

I don't have personal experience, but I think if the doc says you're fine, you're fine. A third test might just make you note anxious.

But I tend to worry myself sick about stuff like this too, so no flames here.

I recently got my first hcg level testing done, so of course I went crazy looking up what every little number could mean. Basically it varies dramatically from person to person and pregnancy to pregnancy. I would say don't stress yourself out if the doc says you're good! But if you can't stop thinking about it and he says you can get another test, go for it! The most important thing, I personally think, is peace of mind right now in the beginning stages!

I just posted because my ultrasound was three days off yesterday. It's so hard not to stress. No flame from me.

I don't think it has to be a textbook double. Every pregnancy is different. If the doctor isn't worried then you shouldn't be either. Ive read that these can vary from person to person.

I only had one draw done that came in at 63000 and instead of doing a second draw they pulled me in for a dating ultrasound. So I really don't have any experience with HCG. Those were my levels at 6w1d.

@ashleysbf. @Normannicole920 @cjt121413 I must be fine because all three of your posts made me tear up! The pregnant hormones are still going crazy!! Thank you so much for your reassurance!! It's so nice to have somewhere to go when my mind is going nuts!!

I'm in a panic about my hcg levels. First was 77 second was 129 it's about every 60 hours. Which dr said 48-72 is normal and not to worry. Easier said than done with 2 losses. More blood work tomorrow.

I don't know why it's so hard to just let go and trust the doctor when they tell you it's good!! I just want to fast forward to 12 weeks!! Fingers crossed for you tomorrow!!

Yeah those are good numbers! Nothing at all amiss there, andplusalso it really does vary lots from woman to woman!

Those numbers seem good to me, I don't think they have to exactly double? But I'm not sure really...
If the doc says you can do another test and you're feeling stressed with the numbers you have I would just do another test
I did my hcg numbers with my first, the doc didn't tell me the number, but said they were good. Looking back I'm glad we didn't give me that info and being a first time mom I didn't know much about it all.
The first tri is so nerve wrecking

How far are you? I had bleeding last week and HCGs this week... first was SUPER high and second was only 41% increase in 48 hours. I did some digging online and read that around 6 weeks, the doubling time slows to more like 3.5 days and an increase of atleast 35% is standard in a 2 day wait. MC would show 35-45% DECREASE over 2 days.

Thanks everyone for your reassurance!! I did do the third test and it more than doubled, so I feel good!! I'm sure there will be another odd twinge that will set me off soon!!
