Spotting 12 weeks, 3 days

I'm 12 weeks, 3 days pregnant. I had some spotting (red) yesterday. No cramping, although I have been sore the past couple days. My OB did a TV US, placenta and baby both look good. He said it was cervical bleeding, and that it is common. I have only bled with losses, not with my DS. (No sex, no bowel movement, no lifting). Has anyone else experienced this???

Can't say that I have except after my first ultrasound. Everyone is different though. Just try to rest and relax and if the spotting doesn't go away i would contact your doctor again. I've read spotting throughout pregnancy can be normal. But like I said, everyone is different.

My cervix bleeds too. Usually only with sex before pregnancy but now even if i do too much walking. Had that issue this week. I am 13+5 today. Baby looked good and cervix was closed but she said my cervix looked irritated. Im guess more blood flow down there makes things more sensative.
