Formula questions??

Hello, first of all my baby is 10 days old and I was breastfeeding and she wouldn't latch correctly so I was strictly pumping and giving her the bottle but I see she dosent get full and I been low on milk supply so I was wondering on formula feeding her as well..? Like one time formula and one time Breast milk? Any of you do that? If so how is it going!?
Another question? Do they get constipated with formula?
How many oz do you feed your baby? And every how long?

FTM and baby is only 5 days, but we had to pump and dump for a few days because of meds I was given. During formula feedings he's been eating 40-50ml. I'm trying to get him back on the breast and have been giving him what I pumped, then supplementing with formula after. My doctor told me to make sure to keep pumping/breastfeeding, even when you give formula because the more you do the more your body knows what it needs to make.

We have been supplementing since the beginning. I am pumping but I only produce 2-4oz a day. So we do 2 oz bottles of formula with .5-1.0 oz of breastmilk mixed in (at 3 weeks old). Before we did 1.5 formula with .5oz of breastmilk. I tried toing exclusive breastmilk bottles but he spit it all up and it broke my heart. We feed him every 3 hours or when he's hungry (whichever comes first) during the day and when he wakes up at night

Does your baby get constipated with formula?? And what brand do you use?

I had to start supplementing with formula because baby won't latch well...we're working on it...and my milk didn't come in until she was 5 days old (she's 1 week now), then she had to be put into the NICU for two days. We went through four types of formula before we found one yesterday that seems to be ok. She doesn't act constipated but doesn't have as many dirty diapers as she should... but the others made her spit up really bad. The nurses told me only give her an 30-35 ml total each feeding so to give her breast or what I pump first then offer her .5 - 1 ounce depending. I did this and my baby screamed for hours and hours. Last night I increased the amount I gave her and it's like having a new baby! She was hungry apparently.

We've been using Gerber good start gentle ready to feed, that's what they used at the hospital. He hasn't had any problems with it.

I didn't breastfeed at all, and I could anyways bc my milk never came in. The hospital was using enfamil for formula. He did not have any issues up until last week or so, LO is 1 month today. He all of a sudden became colicky ... I switched bottles last week and that has helped a ton, but I might switch to the gentle ease formula to try and help him some more. He doesn't have as much gas as before but still gets the pains once in a while.

I think I'm going to start formula today... Hope everything goes well for her and she has no problems with it...
I went to her doctor yesturday and explained how I was low on milk supply and he said just keep giving her what you have but apparently it's not enough because she cries for more food..

I have been using similac formula once or twice a day and my daughter tolerates it pretty well. I breastfeed and pump as well. She was 5lbs12oz when she was born so I only did it to boost her weight!
