I failed my 1 hr last week and had to do the 3 hr on Tuesday. The not being able to eat or drink was hard especially with a little girl who was in the waiting room with her mom eating a sandwich that looked delicious. I was a little light headed around the second hour but made it through. I received my results yesterday and thankfully i passed the 3 hr. I was talking to the tech that took my blood throughout the test and asked her how often she does these 3 hr tests and she said she does 2-3 daily. She assured me that many woman fail the 1 hr but pass the second hr. Good luck to all of you doing the 3 hr!
@carpediempeace Same here. I scored 198 on the one hour and was told there was no need to test for the three hour. The number was high enough to show that there is a problem. I met with an endocrinologist a week or so later and started testing immediately. My challenge is my fast numbers (when I first wake up). I had to go on insulin to help manage it. During the day I find I'm usually pretty successful at managing my numbers through my diet.
