14 weeks and not showing

I don't know if it's normal but I am 14 weeks and not really showing much. It's my first pregnancy and I have always been small. Should I be worried

Re: 14 weeks and not showing

  • Normal. No need to worry! Some women don't really start showing until 20 weeks, especially if you didn't gain much weight in the beginning (which is normal!)

  • Thank you very much!
  • I'm almost 16 weeks and not showing at all at this point. Some pants are a little snug, but I'm pretty sure I'm the only one that can tell that.
  • That's exactly how I am!
  • Baby totally hulked out this weekend! 14 weeks on Saturday, and nothing but the usual little blump (I've lost 7lbs so far), and then Sunday I wake up totally bumped out! I can't believe how night and day it was!! Like the flip of a switch!
  • I started showing only around week 16. I only gained 6 pounds but I think it's just baby, since I'm showing already.

  • But can you feel your uterus has grown?
I'm prob too early to show (12+2) but I can really feel that my uterus is bigger than a week or two ago.
  • I didn't show until like 28 weeks with my first. I have shared a pic but don't recognize your name so perhaps you're new. Will find the pic again

  • Almost 16 weeks here and only minimal changes... No one can tell I am pregnant still.
  • Completely normal.  I'm 14 weeks with my second and while maternity clothes are more comfortable I'm not showing at all.  With my first I didn't show until 16-18 weeks.
  • allaire314 so you woke with a bump?! Did you have any cramps or pain that night? I would be so shocked but geeked if i woke up to  see a bump. I will be 14 weeks Saturday! Due 4/23/15!
  • @KMJames15 yes!! I one of the many times I got up to pee, I could hardly walk to the bathroom the pain in my back was so intense... then the cramps were so bad (not like RL) it kind of scared me a little... but no blood, thought maybe I was constipated or something. I've been liberally applying Mama Butter, but I ended up with a stretch mark, but it isn't terrible.
  • allaire314  wow! This is so crazy (FTM)!!!! Im so excited tho! Thanks for clarifying!!!
  • I tend to carry my babies more inside instead of out so I don't show until the last 12-14 weeks.

  • @KMJames15 I'm a FTM too! Was shocked, but it's so cool to be showing!!
  • Yes it's normal. With my first I barely showed until I was 6 months pregnant.

  • Totally normal.
  • I've gained about 10 pounds now, and have a nice blump going on. I still can't feel my uterus, and at my last appt a few days ago, the baby is still tucked in my pelvis. I'm almost 17 weeks. I'm assuming I won't have a real baby bump for a while still.
  • @NachosAndPeaches that is such a cute baby bump, I think I won't start showing either until like week 20 or later.

  • @Nachosandpeaches Are you showing sooner this time around?

  • I am 16 weeks and I feel like I look ultra pregnant today. It may be my shirt, though- it makes me look a little pregnant when I am not pregnant.

That said, I have a bit of a belly but look bigger/smaller on different days.

Yes, same here! I've noted that some days I don't look pregnant at all, while other days I look 6 months pregnant!!!! I think it varies a lot with intestinal gas and bladder status. I'm looking forward to just having a consistent bump. :)

Not yet, but I also started this pregnancy at least 5 lb heavier than DS's. I am 13 weeks and do have a major blump because I haven't pood like at all, but I had a blump last time for a couple weeks too. I remember going to Disney at 15 weeks with two girlfriends and looking so pregnant in the morning, and then had nothing after i pood lol. I think once you can't suck it in then it's a real bump and I'm not there yet. But boy it feels good to not suck it in!

  • For anybody curious, I just pooped. (Super important information I know). You may now carry on your day without any more suspense

I just want you to know that I thought I was going to push all of my organs out last night when I tried to poo. The build-up of gas has caused any sudden moments to be incredibly painful all day. Also, cramps. Let's not forget the cramps.

  • Everyone is different :) with my first I didn't show till about 5/6 months, with my second about 4/5 months, only a little. With my third, it just popped out right away, here is me today 13 weeks 5 days. I was this big at over 20 weeks with my first!
