Very Concerned ** Final Update**

My IUD baby may not be properly progressing :-( Because of my situation with getting pregnant with an IUD my doctor had some concerns of my pregnancy not progressing properly. Last Monday my levels were 3230, four days later they only went up to 5610. Got a call today that the doctor does not think I will have a viable pregnancy because the numbers did not double :-(. Still have an US scheduled a week from tomorrow to see if by some miracle there is a heart beat. Right now I am a few days shy of 6 weeks. I know some women's numbers don't quite double as quickly as doctor's anticipate, anyone have any personal stories to share?

Just thought I would update all of you kind ladies who have been sending me good thoughts and prayers. Today was my ultrasound and I feel like it was a step forward and 2 steps back. Despite what the doctor predicted, we DID see a sweet little flickering heartbeat at the US today. Ultrasound tech said baby is measuring 6 weeks exactly today. Unfortunately, the heartbeat as only 60bpm. The ultrasound tech said she wasn't too concerned because baby's heartbeat likely just started beating, so I felt a little better. That changed after talking to the Doctor, who told me she was very concerned about the heartbeat. I of course also consulted Dr. Google which was not so reassuring either (when is it ever?). Looked at some studies and one study said low fetal heartbeat indicates 60% chance of healthy pregnancy while another study revealed it actually indicates 60% chance of miscarriage. We have another US next week to check on progress or lack of. Despite the odds being stacked up against us, I can't help but to remain a little hopeful. This little fighter-baby has overcome a lot of negative statistics already, I mean its very existence under the circumstances was only a 0.3% likely-hood, so I can't help but to hope I have a determined babe on my hands...err in my uterus

***Last Update***
I wish I had a good report for you ladies but last night I lost my little fighter. It was confirmed today at the doctor's office. I won't lie, last night was one of the roughest experiences for me, but I am feeling at peace with everything today. The doctor said it looks like my body did things efficiently and I will not need to have additional procedures. She gave me the okay to try again as soon as I have my next cycle so it is comforting to know should we decide to take that route, we can. Thanks again so much for all of your thoughts, prayers, and kind words that helped me through. I wish you ladies healthy pregnancies and happy healthy little June bugs.
