@laurenmdrn16 I also was finally intimate with my DH. I had to jump away from him because of a horrid cramp in my leg and hurt him. Oops. Also spotted afterward, which scared me, and I told him I'm off limits atm!
For real! I think because I keep forgetting my propensity for puke and when I feel it coming, I blank on what I am supposed to do. I was always so very proud of my puke-free status and now I am like a fountain. It doesn't take much to get me flowing. Ugh! :-&
This isn't really a symptom but I my doctor started me on iron supplements because I'm anemic and they are WRECKING my stomach. I've been so lucky that my prenatals don't make me sick, but these iron pills are beastly and give me terrible stomach aches. I have to take them at a different meal than my prenatals so I've been taking them with dinner and they're ruining my sleep, lasting throughout the night and into the morning. Does anyone have any experience with this? Any suggestions?
@ladysamlady can you swap meals so that you take the iron pills with either breakfast or lunch and your prenatals at dinner? I mean, you don't want to be miserable all day, but maybe if you take them while you are active they won't affect your stomach as much. And sleep is so precious (and elusive!) during pregnancy so anything to get better sleep is a good plan!
I took iron supplements during my last pregnancy and they were rough! I took them at lunch and it helped because I was busy at work and the distraction helped. Hope you feel better!
@ladysamlady I agree with @laurenmdrn16, try taking the iron with lunch. I've been on iron for years off and on for deficiency and thalessemia minor and the iron really messed with my stomach at first. You get used to it though (as in, it won't hurt your stomach forever). In the meantime, it's easier to take it at a time when you know you'll be preoccupied for a while. Drink lots of water, and eat yogurt with probiotics to help your system. I've heard that it helps some people to take it in the middle of the meal-- not before or after. that may be worth trying too. Once the energy and improved immune system from having better iron levels kick in, it makes it all worth it.
I went without eating for several weeks, so when my m/s died down and I finally had an appetite I ate everything available. The problem now is that I haven't pooped in nearly a week. I'm so uncomfortable because of it. I've tried Colace, but no luck yet. I also tried putting my feet up on a laundry basket as I sit (sorry if that's TMI) as a makeshift Squatty Potty. I can hear my stomach make noise and I'm just so uncomfortable. I'm even becoming more hesitant to eat because I feel like I'm just piling it on.
@Charla1224 sorry that sounds terrible. Maybe call your doctor?
I'm getting over a sore throat. I think it's from my flu shot. This is only the second time I've ever gotten the shot. I got it Wednesday morning. By the afternoon I had post nasal dripping and a sore throat. I've been gargling salt water. I used the netti pot yesterday and a really hot shower today to losen everything. Seems to be going away!
@Charla1224 I was having this same problem. Tried prune juice, tried everything. Then I read on a different board to try grape juice. I guzzled down about 25 ounces and about 2 hours later almost had an accident (sorry). Drink some grape juice! Hoping it helps for you too
You guys! I was sitting there, in quiet prayer/meditation, and let me tell you, this little nugget was having a full on dance party inside me! I feel crazy because it seems so early, but there is no denying that I can feel definite movement. Best feeling ever!
I'm still very exhausted at 10weeks and 4 days and attempting to try to work out at least twice a week. Nauseous at times but never vomited. They say were suppose to get our energy back in the second trimester.... Those weeks need to get here soon enough. Stay tough ladies! We can do it
