Re: What are you looking forward to most after baby?

  • Some of these are so great, I don't even know what I can add! I think it's all fully covered LOL

I'm really looking forward to this awful taste being gone out of my mouth, and being able to enjoy food without worrying if I am going to throw it up any minute.

  • Making our own family traditions! I'm really looking forward to the holidays with our baby. For the past 8 years Holidays have been kind of hard to get through ( lost my dad & mom within the past 8 years). I'm just really looking forward to making memories as a family. I can't wait !!!
    Lilypie Pregnancy tickers
  • Not having to roll out of bed 500 times a night to pee

Sex - the REAL kind, not modified

To be able to go up my stairs without feeling like I just ran a marathon

To be able to walk ANYWHERE without someone trying to touch my belly. It will become Don't touch my BABY!!!

Normal shoes, and underwear, and clothes in general.

    SUSHI!!!!

  • Physical freedom! I'm so over all the limitations. I never realized how much I moved, the varieties of foods I ate, and how much I loved a good hard drink at the end of the day.
And also, I thought I had major sleeping problems before pregnancy. Little did I know...
Acid reflux can go straight to H. E. Double hockey sticks!
  • @kayemjay2 Pictures with the pups!!

Pretty much what everyone else says, too..
Also, I can't wait to see SO hold our baby and then I can be like "Seee??? Wasn't it worth all the crazy?!"
I already know it is, but I think seeing the baby will drive that home for him.
  • I can't wait for random people who I don't know to stop asking me what I'm having and when I say another boy (#4) they say "oh you'll have your hands full". I just reply with yup and continue with what I'm doing.

  • This is probably a weird one but I really miss church. I have no energy for it these days. After LO is born I am looking forward to having him christened.

Most importantly I am looking forward to have something to love beyond myself, something I love enough to put myself second and sometimes even last. I guess I'm looking forward to growing up.
    Do unto others.
  • The ability to get dressed without it taking a full 15 minutes, with breaks and while sitting
  • Breathing normally, sleeping, eating normal meals without feeling miserable after :((
  • 1. A tall, cold glass of blue moon with an orange wedge
    2. Sushi
    3. Being able to bend over without it feeling like an Olympic sport
    4. No more heartburn, acid reflux, enjoying food again!
    5. My stomach back! Not that I was a fitness freak by any means but after my last delivery I jumped up in the air I felt as light as a feather after losing an instant 25 lbs!
  • High heels! I'm so tired of unflattering clothes and flat shoes... I feel like an old woman most days.
  • Adding another one since I can't remember if I put it on my first post or not - normal bowel movements. I will seriously never take having a poop schedule for granted ever again.

DH and I ordered the squatty potty. Partially because of this. I honestly think it's helping (not with the normalcy but at least I'm still getting in and out of the bathroom quickly enough!)
  • TMI?
Not needing panty liners all the time. Ugh.
Not worrying about random aches and pains.
    Not chafing.
    JEANS. Ohhh my jeans..
  • wine, sex, normal exercise, getting out of bed without feeling like a beached whale, and all my old clothes!
  • Playing with my little girls toes, Wine, sleeping on my belly.

    In that order.
  • -Breathing
    -Not peeing every 10 seconds
-Spicy Scallop Handrolls and Dirty Martinis
    -Shaving my legs
-Being able to reach my feet, not to mention paint my toenails
-Oh yeah...and holding my adorable baby and being totally in love
    ;)

My birthday is November 15th (also my DD lol but she will be here by then).  I plan on gorging myself on a sushi feast!
  • Hard cider! Mixed drinks! And the sauna!
  • Amaretto and pepsi
    Wine
    Sleeping on my stomach
Being able to move in bed without waking up in pain
  • Sleeping on my stomach is the biggest one! Also, not having to pee every 5 minutes, being able to wear my normal shoes and rings again (this swelling sucks) and being able to keep up with my husband. He's so tall and I've slowed down a lot, I feel like he's either miles ahead of me or like I'm annoying him cause he has to walk so much slower than normal for me to keep up.
Ohhh and not having the skin of a 15 year old boy! Pregnancy acne, I will not miss you one bit!

    champagne/wine

    unlimited coffee & tea

    RAW sushi

sleeping on my stomach/rolling around in bed without feeling like a turtle

doing my tai chi routines un-modified

playing DDR again (I think I miss this the most!)

I wish I could say reflux but I suffered from that pretty bad pre-pregnancy anyway.  But it'll be nice to go back on my mega drugs instead of relying on Pepcid and Tums.

  • Ok, out of the materialistic things only (aka, the finer things in life)

    - a really well made cocktail (particularly a Manhattan made with Bulleit bourbon and Luxardo cherries)
    - a whole tray of oysters
    - soaking in a hot tub outside when it's snowing

    I will miss:
    - people being so nice to you! (And always offering the booth side at a restaurant)
    - thick, shiny hair that grows so fast! (Ugh hello again thin and frizzy hair)
    - always having an "out" for invitations you do not want to attend
  • This is an odd one but I have to add it

    Doing laundry!
I hate this chore right now!
  • Actually shaving! I gave up about 2 months ago and everything below the belt matches my husband!
    Sleeping on my tummy.
Being able to pick up my 4 and 3 year old again.
    Putting on my own undies.
A fish bowl sized pina colada! Or 3.
    Sex. Real sex.
    Rare steak.
    Oysters.
All the coffee. I miss coffee.
    Wine.

The list is endless. But I will miss being pregnant too. Not the aches and pains but I do love feeling him move. Well, before him moving started making me almost pee myself :))

You can totally use your baby as an "out" for things you don't want to attend :) that's my plan! "Uh sorry the kid is sick, or baby didn't sleep well"

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • Wine
    Champagne
    Bending over
    Sleeping comfortably
    Good sex
Not having to roll myself out of bed (3...2...1....UP!!)
Being able to cuddle and play with DS1
Oh, a xanax when needed!!! My nerves are shot!
  • Sleeping on my back.
    Running.
    Wine.
Not being completely exhausted after doing anything for 10 minutes.
Seeing what my little guy looks like.
    Losing this weight!
  • Sex! Wine! Actually being out of the house, out and about and not for work or errands. Walks with my neighbor friend. Seating my wedding rings!
  • Resurrecting this because I'm currently looking forward to being able to take a shower without feeling like I need to sit down and take a break halfway through. Idk what's so physically exhausting right now about standing in a shower, especially since I can walk for 2 miles without being winded. I've tried just sitting down in the tub since we have the hose shower head that comes off the wall. But then I can't get back up!
  • I missed this thread the first time around but it's awesome and I agree with a lot of them.
Pumpkin beer (DH saved me 2)
Paint my own toe nails (he's a saint for doing it for me but he sucks)
Playing with my DS... Running sitting on the floor with him etc
    All the coffee I want
    Regular sex
    Putting socks on normally
    Saying farewell to heartburn

  • I am cracking up at how many of us are looking forward to"regular sex"!!!! Lol
  • Mulled wine at Christmas. Pink champagne Christmas Day. Getting my body back. Wearing nice underwear and clothes!! And of course cuddles with my baby boy
  • Riding my horses again! I've bought new ones while I was pregnant I haven't even been able to sit on yet and it's making me crazy!
  • Just tried to have sex last night after a couple weeks of a dry spell... Belly has grown and gotten in the way and even though we managed... I just can't wait until we can do it normally again. So depressing.
