Pre-Seed

Hi ladies I've seen some of you mention using this lubricant and am wondering more about it. Is this something that can help conception in every case? Or should this only be used if necessary? I also looked on Amazon and it seemed like there was more than one manufacturer and was wondering if one brand/packaging is better than another.

We use pre-seed - I get it at target. This can help in any case because all it does is mimic your natural secretions. Other lubricants contain ingredients that can impair sperm motility so pre-seed just gives them a little extra chance to get into your cervix where the good fertile mucus is.

Also aside from not killing sperm- it is just really good lube lol. We've tried 3-4 different ones over the years and pre-seed just feels the best. It's a little expensive ($20 at target) so at first we tried using our usual lube out side of the fertile week but I just really prefer pre-seed so we use it all the time now.

My understanding is that pre-seed doesn't necessarily help you get pregnant but unlike most other lubricants it doesn't reduce motility or kill sperm. If you are TTC and are using a lubricant then it should be a sperm friendly one like pre-seed. It is a good lubricant.

We use it because of clomid drying up cervical mucus. I had nearly no ewcm this cycle. We do not use it outside of fertile times.

My husband and I were using it, but our RE told us to stop. She said that allow it does not kill sperm like other lubricants, it makes it more difficult for them to swim through. She recommended using a tiny bit of canola oil if you need help with lubrication.
