I went to the Dr Tuesday or this week for a ultra sound and they seen a dac but no baby so they took my blood and another ultrasound Thursday and they told me its a blighted ovum
I don't have any experience with this. I'm sorry for what you're going through. How far did you think you were? When did you get your positive test? Did your doctor give you advice or options?
I'm 6 weeks she said my body thinks I'm pregnant but there is just no baby there I kinda feel like I'm not as far along as they think and yes she said I will have a miscarriage it could be today or three weeks from now or I could take a pill to start the miscarriage or have a d&c
What day did you get your positive test? Is it possible you're 5 weeks not 6? I don't see an issue waiting a week and having betas drawn again, or another u/s before making a final decision.
They told me I had a blighted ovum 2 weeks ago. Went in for a final ultrasound wed. They found a baby and a heartbeat!!!! My cycles are wonky. Maybe this will happen to you too....
Yes I had one. This is my second pregnancy and I'm hoping I'm not unlucky enough to have a second. That being said, that is WAY too early to diagnose you with a b/o! In Europe they made it a requirement to wait until 9 weeks to diagnose a b/o. Did you get your beta hcg levels back? Are they doubling in 48-72 hours? Even then that's not a guarantee it's a b/o. I wouldn't let them pressure you into anything this early, just give baby some time. Why did they do an ultrasound that early anyway?? I don't know any doctors that will do one before 8 weeks at the earliest to avoid things like this.
Yes, I had a blighted ovum last pregnancy. I didn't realize it until I miscarried at 12 weeks, but based on what I passed (no fetus, just placenta, etc) , that is what they thought it was. There is certainly no harm in waiting a week or two to see if your body will pass it naturally or to have more tests done to be sure.
So sorry for you if it is, but prayers that it is just sooner than you think and you'll find a sac next week!
