39 weeks and no sign of labor :(

No dilation (barely a fingertip doc says), and no "feelings". Occasional BH. This first time and Ivf Mom is ready to goooo...

I am 38 weeks and my doc did my first check yesterday and said I am "closed, high, tight and thick" . My baby is breech and we have c-section scheduled for 10/26 but I definitely wasn't expecting to here him put it that way haha.

1 1/2 and no signs of progress. 39 weeks and 1 day! Blah. I am ready to get this show on the road. Want to be on the road to recovery and be able to hold by baby girl. I could schedule an induction, but am trying to avoid that since my first two pregnancies were induced. Hope you start to feel some progress.

I'm 40+1 and just started having "feelings" things were moving along. MP started coming out last night and contractions began last night but stopped by morning I was checked at 39+6 and I was closed and high. Things can happen quickly! I'm a FTM, my doctor says going over due date is to be expected. But if no baby by the 22nd it's off to inducing.

I'm 39 weeks and Wednesday I had my check and was maybe a one and 50%- I thought for sure I'd be inducing on Sunday as scheduled. Last night I lost my MP and had contractions on and off all night. Still some today although not growing in intensity. There is hope for things to turn around quick! I'm still crossing my fingers to go into spontaneous labor before Sunday morning!! Good luck ladies!

It sucks but baby will come when they are ready! I'm a FTM and I had my baby at 40+4. The last 2 weeks are super hard but you will make it!

Same position, 39 weeks today, cervix still high and can't reach to do membrane sweep. Baby also still pretty high up. Really don't wanna go over due . Wat can we do to get things going !?!?!?!

I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow and doctor said the same thing! Closed with no dilation. I'm a FTM and I know it's normal but I had a serious feeling like she was going to come early and so I'm having a hard time not being impatient...I also barely get any BH so at this point I feel like it's going to be forever! If she doesn't come by her due date doctor said we will induce on the 28th, I'll be 40w4d

Having had 2 babies that went past their EDD i just want to say I tried just about everything they say you can do to try to get things moving and I am beyond convinced that babies come when they are good and ready. Since the lungs develop last I want to encourage you to just hang in there. It is an estimated due date and sometimes those baby just need to cook a little longer. I get it, I promise! You LO will come and hopefully they will be quick labor and delivery for each of you!!

I also had a feeling my baby would come early....but it's not looking that way now. Almost every baby on both sides of our families has been born early. Our baby was ahead on growth since the first ultrasounds and I've measured ahead most weeks since my midwife starting measuring me. But here I am at 38 + 3 and at my appointment today, my midwife said that baby is high and she definitely expects that she will see me next week. Not really what I wanted to hear. I know it's better that they cook until their due date....but I really thought I would go early. Now that I've stayed at 1 cm, 50% effaced for 3 weeks and baby is still high, I'm beginning to think that won't be the case. Which makes me super impatient. I really don't like the idea of going over my due date. I'm not terribly uncomfortable just eager. And I don't want her birthday to be on Halloween or after. I wanted an October baby....

I'm right there with you...39 weeks and 4 days and no signs of labor. No BH either. At my 39 appointment I was 60% effaced but no dilation. I haven't lost my MP either...just kind of hanging out and waiting! I know baby will come when he or she is ready...but it is getting hard! Hang in there ladies!

I went yesterday and he said my cervix is still back toward my tailbone and I'm not dilated at all. Baby's head is so low though! He said all that doesn't necessarily mean anything, but he's pretty sure I'll go past my due date. I'm hoping he still comes on his own if he does go over because I do not want to be induced. Yesterday's appointment was rather disheartening because I'm so ready to meet this kid!
