My DH and I have today off and DS is in day care. I just pretended to puke so I can keep my yoga pants on today and lay in bed and watch Netflix and not feel like I have to clean.
I complained about how I was feeling yesterday in order to get H to do something I wanted him to do. In fairness to me though, he shouldn't have been complaining about doing it in the first place.
I'm going to do my damnedest to make H's meal tonight like I do every Friday night (he gets in late from work) but even the idea of the smell of Indian spices with chicken is already turning my stomach.
I wanted wine last night something fierce. That said, I can't begin to imagine drinking it with a baby growing. I'm seriously very very attached to this lil' nugget already.
Two nights ago I forgot to pay for our food when H and I went to pick up a couple of burgers. I walked up to the counter to grab our food, said thank you to the cashier and then started walking away before he reminded me that I had to pay. Luckily the guy was cool about it, but I couldn't believe I did that. I blamed it on pregnancy brain. I truly just forgot.
I love my husband dearly and I know he's just looking out for me and our little one but he is on my back about eating healthy! I told him this morning I was so nauseous so I ate spaghetti noodles with butter and garlic salt...and a pickle...and he now insists on making me a healthy breakfast every morning. I am really glad he's so invested I just want to eat whatever sounds good and not feel bad about it! Also my ginger ale and hard tack candy should be replaced by a healthier, less surgar-filled option lol. Poor guy has no idea what he's in for!
I hate when people don't cut their kids hair. I'm talking 3-4 year old boys with gross uneven mops on their head. And then their mom is always like "I just love his beautiful curls, I'll never cut them!" but seriously, your kids looks homeless. No way you'd let your SO rock that hairstyle.

My son looks like this. He's 8 and growing his hair out to donate to a wigs for cancer charity. I take immense joy in explaining this to people who comment on how he needs a hair cut. But, yes - full disclosure - he definitely would've had a cut by now if this wasn't the case.

My DS has hair down almost to his shoulders but gets his hair cut on a regular basis and I comb it with water every morning. DH and him have the same haircut lol

That's so sweet! I've donated to pantene beautiful lengths twice now and love the feeling I get when I send off that bundle of hair.

My SIL cuts her sons' own hair and always gives them bowl cuts. It's the worst. They're about 3 and 4 years old and they're always running around getting dirty, so their hair is always dirty and tangled and gross. It looks like they haven't combed or washed it in a week. I know she's trying to save money, but these kids NEED shorter hair. I don't care if kids have long hair as long as it's groomed (and the kid can keep it looking okay)!
Nov 17 BMB May Siggy Challenge: Mother's Day Fails
My FFFC is we have a wedding to attend on Halloween. It's 2 hours away (for all the guests and the couple) because they wanted a castle, there is a hotel but no transportation to and from the venue, and we have been warned multiple times that the music being played will have lots of cursing (because our children are coming). We could not say no because it's DHs half sister. I just feel like people who don't take their guests into consideration should go elope. I understand it's their big day but if you don't give a shit about anything else except yourself then it's very obvious the only reason I'm invited is for the check I will be putting in your card!

My FFFC is that I hate when people have outdoor cats as pets. If you want a pet, keep it in your house. I don't want your cat using my yard as a litter box and stinking it up!
My in laws have been looking to move for awhile, more so since they had to redo their bottom floor after hurricane Sandy flooding. Now that their last child is in college, they've started looking for somewhere they can move with lower taxes than NY and my MIL seems to have set her heart on moving to really close by to us! They're lovely people but I can't stand the thought of them being a 10 minute drive away from us. She said she wants to be nearby when we have kids so she can spend time with them which makes me terrified that they'll be over ALL THE TIME. (She is a subdued Marie Barone mother type (from everybody loves Raymond))

Why do they keep warning you about the music? What are they expecting you to do? And what kind of music are they playing at their wedding?
DS1 came into my room while I was getting dressed. He looked at me and in his 3 year old innocence said "mommy why do you have fur?" I guess I've been slacking in the grooming department. It must be time to call the salon.

I completely agree!! My neighbors cats dug up and shit in all of my flowers this summer. I spent hours planting and watering them just to come home to see them destroyed!

That's a great reason not to cut hair! But, not a reason most people have for not cutting their hair.

Bowl hair cuts are just a different kind of bad. She should just buzz them all over if she's trying to save a dime.

As long as he doesn't look homeless with crazy hair of all different lengths all over, I wouldn't side eye you for a second

WTF? Did you say something to them? I would have, then had them clean the poo and replant them or buy new flowers.
We have issues with people not picking up dog poop when the walk their dogs. I chased a teenage girl down the street and made her come back to clean my yard. I was carrying DS1 and was about 24 weeks pregnant. I'm sure it was hilarious to watch! She was pissed that I called her out and wasn't going to come back until I threatened to follow her home and tell her parents. If you have a pet it's your responsibility to clean up after them.
My FFFC is I had to force myself to stop temping about five days after BFP, but I still keep looking at my chart and other people's charts because I'm nuts.

That's terrible. I don't agree with the outdoor cat thing either. It's either your pet, or it's not.
I've been trying to eat healthy since the BFP but I smelled McDonald's on Monday. At least I told myself that's what I was smelling and I've been craving it so much. I never eat McDonald's normally. I can't even remember the last time I had it. But I caved today and had a big fat double cheese burger with fries and a Sprite. No shame.
I hate reading articles that say you shouldn't gain weight in the first trimester and that most women lose weight. I'm not skinny but I'm also not overweight. I'm eating healthy, counting calories and working out 6-7 times a week. I'm also gaining weight. Sometimes I think your body will just do what your body will do.

Agreed! I have stepped in dog poop one too many times while out with my dog at night. The only time I won't pick up his poop is when we got walking in the woods and he goes to the end of his 20 ft leash into the woods to poop. At that point, the deer poop and squirrel poop is also there and no one is going to step in it.

I have done the bolded so many times when we lived in Chicago. Our block was one of a few that had trees so everyone and their mother walked their dogs on our block but didn't live there so didn't care if they picked up after their dogs. I usually just called them out and asked if they were planning on picking up their dog's crap. They would usually say "oh, I ran out of bags" to which I would reply "here" (I have a dog too and almost always carry extra). The glares I would get at actually making them pick up their dog's poop were remarkable (especially in the winter when they don't want their fancy boots to get full of snow). I just don't get why people think this is ok. I have legitimately run out of bags when my dog has the runs unexpectedly but I ALWAYS go back to pick up the poop, even if its half a mile away from home and the middle of the night.

I definitely went to McDonalds yesterday. Ordered a yummy chicken nugget and french fry meal and something for the kids. Got home, got the kids at the table, grabbed my bag only to be mortified that they gave me....OATMEAL. Seriously, I cave and go to McDonalds and you give me the only almost healthy thing on the entire menu?!?!
At the beginning of the week I had a girls night planned with one of my best friends. She cancelled because she said she wasn't feeling well. I got really annoyed - didn't tell her obviously, I known being selfish. The next day - Tuesday - I had rescheduled and then I was the one feeling like crap and ended up having the flu so I cancelled. Karma right? Today I'm feeling better so we rescheduled for tonight. She just called to say she's feeling shitty again and might cancel. And here I am, annoyed again. Man, I'm selfish!
Already admitted this on the most recent twins announcement, but I am super jealous of people having twins. I know it's crazy hard to have two at once (I have twin cousins and my aunt is still mad at the world about it, more than three decades later), but I would love to have two more, and it seems unlikely my husband would be open to the idea unless we didn't have a say in the matter.

I have no clue. I guess they don't want to hear about how it was offensive later on. My MIL took her parents off the guest list because of it. Apparently her fiancé is a metal head and has planned the whole wedding. She is one of those girls that just adjusts to whoever she is dating or in this case Marrys. I don't think they are trying to get us NOT to bring the kids because she keeps saying she can't wait to see them and they are the only kids they wanted there blah blah blah. I didn't know about the music thing until after our RSVP but it doesn't really bother me other than the fact it's not my style of music and I don't see how you could dance to it. Just annoying in all aspects

Yes! Last pregnancy at this point I had no nausea and gained like 5 pounds (it was during the holiday season too). This time the only reason I haven't gained is because the only foods I can stomach are soup, toast, and crackers. I think it probably evens out in the end!
@mkemommy I was actually told by my doctor to expect to gain about 5 lbs first trimester because of the added blood and other things your body is producing to support baby. And then another 20-30 lbs the rest of pregnancy averaging out to about 1 pound a week.

I'm secretly wanting twins. DH keeps saying that were done with babies, but I always wanted a big family. Ideally I'd have 5 or 6 kids. This is baby #3 for us (I guess it's possible for twins, since I haven't had an u/s yet.)

So much yes to your last sentence. My doctor was amazing when I asked her about weight gain(and I'm moderately overweight). She just said "You're conscious about what you put in your mouth, but your body is going to do what it's going to do." This is my first pregnancy other than an early miscarriage. I am kind of freaking out that I've lost a few pounds. I feel like that's the opposite of what should be happening. I just can't eat anything other than a few crackers or a piece of bread right now, otherwise I am sick to my stomach. That's not exactly the epitome of health even if our numbers are going in opposite directions.
