Waiting to get home and for AF

    R/R/CS: ****question***
How thin is too thin for period blood? I use to have medium thick blood when AF was in town but for the past 2 cycles it's been really thin, like dripping thin (except for that big blob of tissue) and I'm starting to worry (euphemism; I spent way too much time on Dr Google, now convinced I have low estrogen or thin endometrium) and I'm worry this is what caused my CP. I did try baby aspirin last month during LP but didn't seem to have help. So you think I should worry? Think I should give my OBGYN a call?

    Month/cycle: 2/2

    CD: 15

WAYDTGKU: mostly trying to get normal following bcp, temping, vitamins, bd when we feel like it, tracking cm

R/R/CS: waiting to O still and was hoping I would be nice and normal around the 14th. Had a pounding headache all day yesterday that I couldnt shake so wondering if that was my getting used to the hormones after bcp and that I was gonna O. If I O later that would be ok though, DH is out of town until Sunday and I thought for sure we were gonna miss the whole FW. I know we are not specifically timing all our BD for the FW, but now that we have decided we would be ok to have kids I am just ready to do it.

Temps have been all over the place but I think that it might be due to travel and time zone shift. Since I have been back home and over the jet lag they seem consistent but low. I feel like hovering around 97 is a bit low? (Travel dates indicated in chart).

Also a bit of a rant... I really hate that the Mabis does not have a back light. I can't see in the dark.

GTKY: what domestic task do you hate the most?

Folding and putting away laundry. There are always clean clothes in the dryer and a stack of clean clothes on the chair in the bedroom (you know, the chair that never gets sat in because that is where all the stuff gets dumped when you "clean")
  • Month/cycle: 1

WAYDTGKU: All the things except OPKs

R/R/CS: I have about three different apps on my phone and all three of them are giving me different days for my fertile window. One starts today, another starts Sunday, and the other is Tuesday. So, whatevs, we're basically HIO EOD or ED at this point so I guess it doesn't matter. At least I know FF will give me the best estimate of when I actually O. I've been getting some CM that's alllllmost EW. It looks like it but it is definitely not stretchy enough yet. I have no idea how to classify that..so I put watery. Total side note: I saw a rainbow this morning and it made me smile. It's the simple things in life.

GTKY: what domestic task do you hate the most? I hate sweeping, dishes, folding laundry and cleaning bathrooms. So, almost everything really. :)

  • @jolydan isn't aspirin a blood thinner?  Could that possibly be why?  I honestly don't know, just guessing.

@furbabymom2007 with so many open circles it could just be your timing and travel and the time zone change like you mentioned.  Hopefully O is soon for you!

    ***Question***

    WAYDTGKU: the usual

R/R/CS: Finally got a high on the CB adv! Thought it was never going to happen. hoping that means I may O at the beginning of the week and that will give us the weekend to HIO.
Here's my question.  I seem to only have fertile CM later in the day (I do check internally). Because of our schedules, DH and I generally have to HIO in the morning. Are you only fertile at the exact time you can detect the fertile CM?  Like if I check before sex and there isn't any fertile CM, am I still considered fertile if I get later in the day?

GTKY: what domestic task do you hate the most? dishes! and putting away laundry.
  • @furbabymom2007 yes, I shine the phone on the thermometer each morning...you know since it's dark in the mornings now. Stupid fall equinox.

    WAYDTGKU: All the things.

R/R/CS: I was hoping for a temp spike this morning, which didn't happen. CM is inconclusive but CP could potentially be high, higher than it has been anyway. I woke up thinking I had already temped but I must have dreamt it because my alarm hadn't gone off. Having dreams about taking BBT - my life is exciting.

GTKY: what domestic task do you hate the most? Laundry, mostly because I hate going down to the basement. So my husband does it most of the time. :)

I don't know why y'all hate laundry so much. I LOVE doing laundry :)
I really hate shoveling. Currently we live in an apartment so I don't have to do it, but I'm not excited for dealing with that when we get a house.

@furbabymom2007, I don't even bother trying to look in the dark - I just turn it off when it beeps and fall back asleep and record it when I'm actually awake. Even with the lights on, it's hard to read and I wish the previous reading would stay on for a bit longer. Sometimes I have to turn it on and off several times to make sure I got all the numbers right.

    Edited for tag fail...
  • Month/cycle: 6/4th month temping

    CD: 18

WAYDTGKU: HIO, temping, CM, OPKS (got a positive today)

R/R/CS: I'm really hoping for a lot of things.  That I will O this weekend like FF is predicting even though I've had some stress this month, I had a lot of stress last month too, and I O'd last month, so I'm hoping that will happen when its supposed too, especially because I'm pretty sure I can get DH to have sex everyday during my predicted FW.  So it would be nice to see what kind of results we'd get with that if the timing actually happens the way FF is predicting.  Also hoping this is our month.  I'm not going to focus on it and go crazy over it, It would just be nice if it were this month.  If not, I have an appt set up for an RE the 1st week in Nov and I've already decided that I don't want to do anything extreme at this point but I would not be opposed to take meds to help us along this process.  I'm trying to stay positive.

GTKY: what domestic task do you hate the most? All of it.  I hate to clean probably the most though because I really just want to be lazy on the weekends and do nothing.  I would get bored I'm sure at some point, but I want to sleep in on the weekends, drink my coffee in a leisurely fashion and just chill out.

@jolydan     I would agree with PP, I thought that aspirin was a blood thinner?  So maybe inadvertently you thinned the blood? And i would agree that if it continues or you are overly concerned, I'd call the dr.  There's nothing like peace of mind.

@BeachTigress    Here's to O ing over the weekend!! I'll drink to that!

@severmilli12      That stinks about your phone!! I'm sorry!!  I feel like the WTO has taken forever this month.  I hope you can find somethings to keep you busy!!  I'm planning on baking some cookies this weekend  :)

@HummingBird125      Awwww, that's cute about your DH.  Mine says he always tries to finish and put the final product in the optimal position.  Makes me laugh. He said something else last night too that was really cute and sweet but I forgot.  Just makes me want it to happen that much more.

@furbabymom2007      I always take my BBT with me to the bathroom and phone too so that I can just clean it and put the temps in @ the same time.  Our dog sleeps with us, so on the weekends I tend to get up with him to make sure that I temp on time and all that. If DH takes him out then I still do it then because I usually have to pee anyways.

@oandmplus1       I would think you are still fertile for 12- 24 hours?? I don't know.  I would think with the OPKS you are supposed to have a 24- 48 hour window, so I would guess that once you see the EWCM you should have a good 12 hours or so?? But remember that if you've had sex the day before you should be ok or even 2 days before you see it.  I think its about the overall timing.
  • @bcooke314 I'm off today too. I'm on my way to you with our laundry! lol

  • @severmilli12     Our lives have finally slowed down just a bit and the next 2 weekends we'll be busy so I'm really looking forward to this weekend.  Sleeping in, snuggling, doing some stuff around our house and not being "hurried" or feel that we HAVE to get something done this weekend or we'll be stressed about not getting it done, and cookies.  I don't think I've baked anything really since we've moved into our house and its been almost a year!! Just been so busy!!  I went to Traverse City for a marching band trip.  So much fun!! I don't really remember much about Traverse City itself, but the trip was in general was awesome and we went to Mackinac Island and that I remember was really cool!! I hope you have fun!! • Month/Cycle: 5/5

    CD/DPO: 2?

WAYDTGKU: Going to start HIO as soon as AF leaves and shoot for the best timing we can get.

R/R/CS: Not sure what's going on with AF. I usually spot for one day, maybe two before I get full AF. I started spotting a little bit on Tuesday and Wednesday and had some red blood yesterday morning so assumed AF was here and stopped temping, but I've had nothing since yesterday morning. So it's been two days of spotting followed by two days of nothing. Naturally, I got my hopes up and took my temp again this morning and it's pretty low so I'm sure AF is just lurking in the shadows playing tricks on me. I also have a pretty bad cold that's getting progressively worse, so maybe that's messing with things, too.

R/R/CS: I forgot to bring an OPK with me to work and I have only ever gotten positives between 10-2.  I'm tempted to run out right now and buy some.  I also was dumb and drank too much last night and had a temp spike of almost a degree so I discarded it.  I'm am going to try and not drink this weekend because I should O any day from today till Monday.

GTKY: what domestic task do you hate the most?  I loathe taking out the trash, I don't know why I hate it so much but I do.  I also much prefer to fold laundry than do it, just turn on the tv and line up the baskets of clean clothes.
  • @jolydan aspirin for sure is a blood thinner. I honestly don't believe in taking any supplements or medications that haven't been recommended specifically by a doctor, but that's just me.

@MNturnsVA you are always so sweet to everyone! I've got my FX for you this month too!

WAYDTGKU: BD EOD... we did ED for 3 days in a row, but I tend to get sex injuries (my vajay can't deal with it every single day lol), so we're back to EOD. Also CM, CP, temping and preseed.

R/R/CS:  O, where are you?  FF has no prior results from me to go off of since I started temping after O last month, so it predicted O would be yesterday... which it most def was not. Ugh, I just don't even know when to expect it. When in doubt, hump it out, amirite?  Blahh. I'm just glad it's Friday.

GTKY: what domestic task do you hate the most?  I really don't hate laundry that much, but we only have two humans in the house. We'll see when there are more?  I really really hate dishes. I think if I got some dish gloves it might not be so bad, but my hands always feel disgusting after being so waterlogged!

I've been testing with OPKs when I get home from work, around 5:30, and wondered if I should be testing earlier in the day. I don't want to test at work though. I guess I'll be able to test earlier over the weekend at least...

  • @anj27  Testing at work is super weird but after like the 10th time you don't care anymore.  My work has three stalls on our floor with nice doors so you cannot actually see in through the sides.  I just bring in my dixie cup, test, and my phone and sit there for five minutes.  So far no one has noticed or at least said anything.
  • @severmilli12 and @MNturnsVA are you both from MI?  I live in Western MI, but have only lived here since 2006.  I have yet to go to Traverse City, but it's on my list of things I really want to do.
  • jolydan - Aspirin definitely thins the blood, when I took too much Advil (also a blood thinner) for period cramps it would make my blood thinner and my period heavier. I wouldn't worry too much about it but I would definitely mention taking baby aspirin the next time you see your doctor.

  • @ashbear720     Awww, thanks.  I just try to relate to people that I can relate too or answer questions if people have them.  I don't have anybody in real life to talk too about this stuff so its nice to get feedback from people that have some knowledge on this, ya know?  And I fully expected you to say you had a broken arm or something as a sex injury and I was going to laugh because I was thinking sex injury? What kind of crazy acrobatics are they doing over there? One of my friends told her mom I guess that we were TTC (which is fine because I'll never meet the mom I'm sure, so I don't care) and she told her to tell me to stand on my head after sex.  Really?? And this is funny.....I've been having to be honest with my physical therapist about us TTC because after sex my leg hurts really bad.  Not just from that, there are other things that make it hurt too, but that's a primary one and because we are doing it so much right now, I had to tell him what was going on.  So the other day I was feeling the best I had from the therapy and I asked him if we should hold off this month because I didn't want to undo all the efforts that we'd put in to make me feel better.  My therapist said "well can't you just do it normally??"  I said "well we aren't doing it all cirque de solei up in there".  It was pretty funny.  I've known this guy though from previous injuries and he's pretty easy to talk too and easy going.  ****Can you attach your chart??

@dogmomwantinghumans     I've definitely noticed that my temps are affected by the temperature, not outside so much though but I guess how that affects the temps in our house.  We have turned our AC off because its been cooler outside.  I was pretty warm the other day when I woke up and my temp was pretty high.  I'd been warm a few different days when I woke up and said something to DH about it the next day.  He opened some windows and made some adjustments to the fans and my temp went back down the next day.  So I would say that yes, the outside temps do have an affect on your temps.

@jhems776     I love the $1 store OPKS if you feel that you really need to run out and get one if there are any of those around you.
  • @MNturnsVA Wish I would have read your $1 store advise before running out.  CVS brand was $25 for 20 strips and they expire in 30 days.  I did get a positive OPK though so totally worth it, I think.  Sad to hear about the pain with sex, not sexy but would you be ok with him "warming up" before and then just a super fast quicky?
  • @jhems776 You are tempting me to go out and get some to test at work, but I won't do it. Now if there was a dollar store nearby I definitely would...
  • Month/cycle: 5/3

WAYDTGKU: Temping and charting and BD EOD, sometimes ED. Gave up on OPKs because I never get a positive.

R/R/CS: Just really not looking forward to work today. We're having so many issues there. Also, I really wish I would O already. My temps have been low and there's been no signs of spikes so I feel like it'll never come. But this is my first cycle temping so I keep trying not to be negative. After all, maybe I just O late in my cycle? Just hoping I don't have another 53 day cycle like last time.

GTKY: what domestic task do you hate the most? Cleaning the bathroom, which is why I make DH do it! But I also hate folding and putting away the laundry. That chore is actually mine. I actually enjoy folding clothes because I find it relaxing, but it's so time consuming that I never feel like doing it.
  • @jhems776    Oh man!! Well, a positive makes it worth it, I agree!!  But  I seriously love the $1 store ones.  they are .50 more than the wondfos per test, but the Wondfos make me nervous that I'm sticking the test strip too far into the pee and only 3 seconds and I don't like Wondfos.  I have a box of clear blue easy ones that I was going to use this month but I was being so crazy stressed I was worried that we'd be out this month so I decided to wait till next month (but hopefully I won't need them next month) The ortho dr thinks that my IT band is really unhappy from being over worked and aggravated from my work outs I'd been doing and its been going on for 9 months or so before I finally had a chance and realized I couldn't put it off anymore.  Last night was the first night it wasn't too bad, it doesn't hurt to bad during, but after its pretty unhappy for about 30 min or so.  Ice helps.  We could try having my DH get "warmed up" before hand, we'll see how it goes next week @ therapy and how much pain I'm in after this weekend!!  My FW is through Sunday according to FF and we've had sex the last 2 days as well.  My goal is going to be for every day until Monday probably, so we'll see!!
