I hate all the drama in competition shows (Project Runway, ANTM, Amazing Race, HGTV shows, etc.). I know that draws audiences but I just fast forward through half the show and watch the actual competition part.
I really don't like people who tell me what I should be getting and not getting for the baby. "Oh you're using a pack and play? Yeah that won't work. You need to buy a bassinet" , no. No I don't. I need to be able to move in my apartment and the baby has a sleeper built in. But thanks! Also, on the same topic, moms who judge other moms. Ugh. I find this photo relevant!
I tend to only drive 5 mph over the speed limit, which seems to drive people behind me loco. I think they're just impatient!
Just so you know, you can safely do 14 miles an hour over the speed limit and it will only be a misdemeanor. 15+ is a felony and you risk jail time.
That being said, I don't speed much either. My car is still brand new and my driving record is still perfect, no thank you accident or ticket!
I'm not concerned about a ticket - and the speed over generally just ups your bond amount here. That may differ on the highway though, or by state, who knows!

Rolling your eyes at someone is a form of bullying and it cracks me up when they are the real housewives or B from gossip girl. They are the biggest bullies out there.

I will go up to 5 over but I'm usually right on. I don't need the expense or hassle of a ticket. Not to mention keeping an eye out for the wildlife and crazy drivers who aren't paying attention. I'm just not in that big of a hurry.

I just hope you or someone you love is never affected by actual bullying...you know, the kind of bullying that makes someone scared to leave his own house, ruins lives, and can lead to suicide. The kind of bullying that you're making a mockery of by likening it to mean girls on TB.

This! My SIL has asked me at least 3 times if we've registered for a bumbo. The first time I was like, "no, what's that?" and then looked it up. I've decided I don't want to get one, so I haven't put it on the registry. She's looked at the registry and the other day asked again if we registered for one. I was like no . . . we haven't (in my mind I was like ummm you know we haven't and I don't appreciate you constantly asking as if we need to add it. WE'RE NOT ADDING IT!)
She also said she was surprised we didn't register for a boppy but understood why when I said we got one from a friend. But that isn't why I didn't register for one. I registered for a different brand of nursing pillow that I thought I'd like better. Which she saw. She just thinks somehow a boppy is still essential.
I have a feeling I may be getting some unwanted gifts from her even after telling her we don't want/need these things.
@Kimbarbour08 reminds me of a conversation I had with my mother this weekend. I'm sorry I'm not interested in all the brands you think I should be..I'm okay with generic. Lay off, dude!

I'm just confused where it's coming from in all honesty..I consider myself in the group who have been here since the beginning (don't know if it's true, but I'll just pretend it is), and the regs who are still here have built a rapport with each other so what some may take as too snide of comments, we know isn't the case..But that's all just stuff I think, doesn't hold to anything that you may or may not be saying. I don't know, it's the internet, I can't tell that if what works for me works for you.

I got a pacifier in a swag bag I received so I have one just in case, but as I mentioned, I don't plan on using them unless it's the only option. I just feel like a lot of people use a pacifier as a crutch in place of trying to soothe their baby without shoving something in their mouth

Sucking is a very soothing thing for a baby. It's not laziness on the parent's part.

It's not that hard to avoid one. Your kid could not like one... Dd didn't like to use one. I know lots of kids who don't
