Today is international pregnancy and infant loss awareness day - I am thinking about each one of you. I hope each one of us has atleast one thing we can smile about today in the midst of our grief.

If you are struggling with feeling alone - the website www.facesofloss.com is a website where women tell their stories. This happens to one in four women - we are not alone in our struggles.

I'm smiling about all the love and support I've received since sharing my story. I wrote and article about it and shared it on my Facebook page a few days ago. Many friends have reached out in a comment, message, text or in person and shared their story or gave me lots of encouragement. Many shared my article as well. Made me feel quite loved and strong.

I'm smiling because today is my dad's birthday and I'm going to have lunch with him and my mom.  There may not be a baby, but by god, there'll be cake.

Ugh. I shared the article on my kid related Facebook page and I just checked the stats. Someone unliked my page because of it. People suck. Nothing like feeling kicked in the balls when you get personal and honest about a difficult subject.

Thank you for sharing @ceclarinetlo!  Two more friends announced their pregnancies earlier this week to me and so it was a hard week, but there is still lots to be thankful for.  DH and I are having an impromptu date night today, so that will be a fun/nice distraction.

We haven't told many people about our loss, and don't plan on it until we are ready to announce a successful pregnancy (I want to share our journey, so it helps others struggling with infertility and loss not feel so alone). But I really wanted to share that image yesterday.

Weirdest thing is we had our d and c yesterday - October 15th . Such strange timing . I saw that it was Remembrance Day while laying in bed recovering from the d and c .

Yesterday was tough, but knowing that all of you ladies have gone through something similar and are making it, helped me and remind me that I'm not alone! I never expected to be that 1 in 4! It scares me because I have 4 friends that are pregnant right now and I don't want any of them to experience this pain! I am smiling because so far they are all doing great! And I pray to God that it stays that way!
