Week 7 symptoms worsen?

Hey everyone,

So this is my first pregnancy so everything is all new to me. I found out while I was 4 weeks 5 days and the only symptoms I had was sore boobs and constipation. Week 6 rolls around and mild nausea starts but I had attributed it to the constipation. But I just started week 7 yesterday and it seems like everything got way worse over night. Like my boobs feel like someone is squeezing them relentlessly and I had a random hormonal crying fit because I feel so nauseous that I can't do anything. Has anyone had this happen to them before? I know that all these symptoms are normal but to have them go from mild discomfort to this seems a bit extreme.

Re: Week 7 symptoms worsen?

  • Yup. All normal. Just make sure you are not dehydrated from vomiting too much, but that is usually in extreme cases. Feel better!

  • Like PP said, it's totally normal! My first time around, we had chicken one night, the next day even the smell made me hurl. It was like a light switch had flipped.

  • Totally normal. Both times I got a lot sicker at 6-7 weeks.
I'm 5 weeks right now, so I'm hoping for 1-2 more good weeks before the massive sickness hits me :)

  • It is normal but you can post stuff like this and other symptom questions in the weekly symptom thread. Just put "*question below*" at the top of your post.
  • I just started week 7 today and I am so lazy, right now I am trying to get off the couch and fold laundry... But have been failing. Also sore boobies! It does feel like someone is just meanly squeezing them! Some nausea, and light cramping too :\ anyway, I feel you
  • My nausea is kicking my butt, if I don't stay on top of taking my zofran I'm screwed! I'm 7 weeks today, and it has gotten worse!

  • Hit 7 weeks today and I feel awful. The next couple weeks are going to be pretty rough, unfortunately.

  • Hi,

Os I have always been really sick, I took Zofran with my last pregnancy but it didn't help me.. this time I am trying Seabreeze the armband amd aromatherapy I know this may sound funny but it is helping me...
    Hope you all feel better
  • I'm almost 8 weeks and week 7 has been the best so far. 5 and 6 were KILLER with the MS but I have been religiously trying to fight it. I also feel like I'm probably in the eye of the MS storm.

I drink ginger root infused water, lemon water, la croix. No coffee or caffeine. I make sure to always have something in my stomach and have protein every two hours, even if it's just a babybel or some almonds. I force myself to eat meat and noticed that after I eat meat I feel better. I've been staying away from sweets for the only reason that just thinking about them makes me want to gag. Fruits, cheese, meat, and some bread is all I've been eating. I've been dousing bagels in cream cheese. And I've been drinking green smoothies to help get my spinach and veggies in. I swear this diet is helping, but I also hate throwing up and will do anything to avoid it.

I also took prenatals for a year and a half before conceiving and supposedly that helps, though I don't know the science behind it at all.
  • This is my first pregnancy too and I know exactly how you feel! My boobs were extremely sore and now at 7 weeks they aren't so much. But for 2 days straight everything I ate came right back up within the hour. I was so worried I went to the hospital and they said it's all normal and gave me anti nausea pills. I'm hoping I'm one of the lucky ones and have no more nausea once I'm in my second trimester.
