EDD was 01/28/11 and I had an elective induction 01/24/11, so 4 days early - miserable pelvic pain thanks to SPD was about to push me over the edge. Sure hope I avoid that this time around..
I was 3cm & 100% effaced for a week prior, but I don't know when I would have actually gone had I not induced. No contractions naturally yet at that point.
I was induced on my due date. I was dilated and having contractions. But I never progressed and ending up having a c section. Knowing what I know now, I would have waited on being induced. This time around I'll have a repeat c section at 39 weeks.
My son was 7 days late. I checked into the hospital 6 days past my due date... I was supposed to be given Pitocin early the next morning, but my water broke that night and I went into labor.

9 days early. DD had borderline FGR (6 lbs but dropped from 30-16th size percentile in 3 weeks) so we were scheduled for induction on the day I would have been 39 weeks, but she came on her own a few days before that anyway
That said, my mom keeps reminding me that I was 9 hours past my due date and my youngest sister was on her due date... And the middle sister was almost 2 weeks late. Each mom is different and then every pregnancy is different. If you prepare for 37-38 weeks but plan on going to 41-42 weeks from the start it may help you to survive that last few weeks if you do go long.
It really sucks mentally/emotionally when you go past your due date. You are SO ready to hold and meet your baby and not be pregnant... and I remember everyone texting me like "happy due date!" and I was like if it's so happy then why am I still working?!?!?! But just know that your baby will take the amount of time he or she needs and be perfectly ready for the big debut when the time comes :-)

4 days late. Was induced one day past my due date...yep, was in labor for three calendar days (40 hours). I am doing everything in my power to avoid induction this time around.
With DS I was induced at 39 weeks 1 day due to gestational diabetes and high blood pressure and he arrived the next day (so 5 days early). With DD my water broke in my sleep at 36 weeks 4 days and she arrived 10 hours later at 36 weeks 5 days.
3 days early. But the whole time I prepared myself to go 42. I never (very rarely) told anyone when my actual due date was, just "the end of January" to prevent those "is she here yet?" texts.

38 weeks with DS but my water had been broken for at least 3 days prior.
um... no? No (reasonably decent) doctor is going to let you go three days between when your water breaks and when you give birth.
Mine would- provided that nothing was put in the vagina after said rupture of membranes, and there was no fever or other sign of infection. He's quite a lot more than reasonably decent.
DD was born at 37 weeks 2 days. I had been in and out of the hospital due to high blood pressure and they kept wanting to monitor me. The last time around I stayed over night and it never went down and they said my risk of having a seizure had gone up more and suggested I induce. DH had left to run to work for an hour and my mom was with me. We discussed it and in the end I opted to induce because I'm scared to death of seizures from a bad childhood memory of my uncle having one right next to me. We had another ultrasound that day to double check her weight which was showing 6 lbs 13 oz. which they said was good at that point ( she was born 6 lbs 7 oz). They induced that afternoon and then stopped that evening to let me sleep because it hadn't done a whole lot. Next morning they started me on pitocin again and still nothing at 8 am when the doctor came in. He broke my water right then and 4 hrs and 40 min later my little girl was in my arms just looking at me instead of screaming. I'm hoping this time my blood pressure doesn't skyrocket again and I can get closer to 40 weeks so he/she can gain a little more weight and not by in nicu like DD was.
Edited because I can't type on an iPad!
I went in for an induction 6 days before my due date for low amniotic fluid. The induction and delivery went smooth, 8 hours from start to finish. Although my first experience was great I'm hoping to go into labor on my own this time for the novelty of it (this is my second and final baby).

Actually yes @pinottoparenthood . Went to the doctor and mentioned a two drop trickle. He did a swab and it came back negative. He had me go back two days later and again the swab was negative. They did an ultrasound and said fluid was on low side of normal but if I felt a trickle to go to hospital. It happened again and went to the hospital. Again swab at hospital was negative but thankfully the nurse decided it best to send a sample to the lab which proved I was leaking amniotic fluid. Apparently I had a small high tare. I thought it was a discharge and had no idea you could be leaking fluid one drop at a time. So yes. It happens.
When is the point you get induced if it's not elective? I read that it's best to induce when you're at least 4cm dialated. Was that the case for any of the 2nd(+a) time moms?

Second baby 4d late (but kinda helped along... I think he needed another day or two)
Third baby 6d late
Fourth baby almost 11d late (just 1hr 45min shy of 11 days).
I just have a slow cooking oven set to 325° and that's okay!
