HCG - chart stalk

I had my surgery on 9/18.  My post op was 10/5 and my HCG was 7.  I had another draw Monday on 10/12 and it was 12.  It went up.  I was fairly certain I ovulated Friday based off my temps...please chart stalk if you have time!!  Now I am starting to doubt this.  The doctor did say it was possible to ovulate with my numbers.  I told her there is absolutely no way I am pregnant.  She said the doctor would be cautious if it rises again  Not sure what that means.  Did any one have a bounce back effect?  What do you make of my temps?

I'm no expert but it looks like you ovulated.  I believe it is possible to ovulate with a low HCG.  If you do a search you can find threads where folks mention what their HCG was when they ovulated.  Here's one:

I think if your HCG rises back up, there are 2 possibilities:

#1 - if you had unprotected sex around the time you ovulated you could be pregnant again.

#2 - if there is retained tissue from the miscarriage, then unfortunately the HCG can go back up/stay up/not go to zero.  This is why typically doctors follow the HCG to zero before they want you to get pregnant again - because they want to make sure that there is no old retained tissue before a new pregnancy starts.
