TWW post (week of 10/12 - 10/18)

Re: TWW post (week of 10/12 - 10/18)

  • I'm pretty sure I'm out this month. 12 dpo and AF is supposed to arrive tomorrow. I normally spot 3 days before she shows up and that didn't happen. But, my cervix is pretty low and hard. On 10dpo it was super high and I couldn't even feel the opening. I got way too excited and hopeful. Now that it's dropped I just want to cry. I've resisted the urge to test all week! I can't stand to see another BFN. I know I'm not officially out until the beast arrives but I just don't feel positive this time. Even though we did everything "right" this month.
  • Wow @BulgariHeart - that looks textbook to me!

I want to believe it so bad Carrie!!

  • I'm living a nightmare. Yesterday, at 14dpo, I woke up and my BBT had plummeted from 99.2 to 98.8. I tried to absorb the shock and keep my cool but ended up breaking down sporadically throughout the day, thinking that AF was approaching. To add insult to injury, last night I went to the bathroom and saw a slight spotting. While sobbing I thought "Screw this!", and went to bed.
This morning my big, puffy, frog eyes woke up to a 99.1 temperature again....
I'm hoping some of you guys are around here to keep me company because I'm seriously losing my mind. I know you'll say to just test but I can't bring myself to... I'm not out of the danger zone as I had a 16 day LP before....
If this doesn't work out I'm seriously going to need a grief counselor because this shit is driving me to a nervous breakdown. I'm just not cut out for this at all :(

  • @BulgariHeart I'm literally feeling the same way. I'm 12dpo and my temp is still up around 98.42 which is high for me. Usually my temps are in a much lower range and they start dropping anywhere from 9dpo-12dpo.
I've gotten 2 bfn's so far but afraid to test this morning. I did use OTC progesterone cream from 3-7dpo, but I didn't think that would affect my temps at 12dpo?
I don't know what to think.
I'm sorry you're going through this. Xo

  • Sorry for going MIA on you ladies. Today is CD3. AF arrived later on Saturday although my temp never dropped. It's still in the 99 range and today is CD3, so basically if it doesn't drop, either my overall body temp is shifting as a consequence of the TCM protocol I'm following to warm up my body, or this cycle I will have no cover line on FF.
Anyway, I've now seen it all. And I mean ALL. It took my sweet hubby a really long time to cheer me up this past week end. At one point he took me and looked straight in my eyes and said "would you calm down please! You've only just had a normal period after years of painful ones. Clearly what you're doing is working but your body needs TIME to adjust and we've only tried a handful of times!"

Anyway, today I have a lovely mugwort vaginal steam bath on my to do list and then I'll be off finding something else to obsess on, while I regain what little is left of my sanity. If I don't post for a few weeks it's because I'm trying to not go crazy, but know that I'll be back and will be thinking of all of you.

  • Ah, @BulgariHeart I'm so sorry. I was so hoping for different news from you. But I'm so glad your husband had such a good point--getting a normal period is a huge step in the right direction! Please take care of yourself and know we're all thinking of you and cheering you on.
  • @BulgariHeart I'm so sorry to read this. You are in my thoughts.

  • @BulgariHeart, I'm so sorry!  I contributed to getting your hopes up!  How strange that your temps stayed up without progesterone.  I guess it's the TCM protocol, like you said. @Thistle8677 can tell you that I've curbed my excitement quite a bit to avoid contributing to other people's emotional roller coasters.  But with your chart, I was so sure...

I know the crushing disappointment you're feeling. I've been there multiple times now, between the losses and the symptomatic months that gave me such hope.  I hope you feel better soon.  This is definitely hard.
