In my last BMB, we did this every Tuesday. It's kind of a GTKY type of thing. I always looked forward to reading everyone's TTT. Simply list 10 things going on with you.
1. I teach 2 yoga classes today. One at 9am and one at 6pm. 2. By the time the 6pm class rolls around, I'm completely exhausted and I feel like I'm not giving my class enough energy. 3. We are building a new home and staying with my mom in the meantime. It's a blessing to have extra hands but I'm ready for my own space again! 4. The permits from the township just came through, so hopefully they start digging the foundation before the ground gets too cold. 5. I'm worried about 2 under 2.5. 6. I'm a SAHM and my H is wonderful but has the mentality that because he works, he doesn't get up in the middle of the night to help out. His logic is that I can sleep whenever I want during the day. HAHAHA. 7. Our toddler has speech delays. She doesn't talk yet. Add that to my list of worries. 8. I'm wondering if my car (a small SUV) will be big enough for 2 car seats in the back. 9. I love coffee. I'm so happy that I'm drinking it this pregnancy! 10. I hear DD on the monitor- time to get out of bed.
1. I have to work 9-6 today and I don't want to- I want to sleep- but at least every co-worker I have to deal with today is one I like.
2. I'm deaf in my left ear and because of that have speech issues that I spent 10 years in speech therapy for.
3. I'm terrified that I'm going to mess our kids up because of my speech issues- though most people assure me they don't hear them.
4. We're getting ready to buy a new car! A Honda CR-V- but we've got two dealerships trying to beat each other out and it's kinda fun.
5. I have two pitbulls and they are adorable and great with kids.
6. I want to punch people who say pitbulls are violent dogs in the throat. We had to put our Basset Hound down for aggression- have never had an issue with these two nutcases.
7. I LOVE TO READ.
8. I'm on an award selection committee for Virginia's Library association for books with historical merit. The award is called the Jefferson Cup.
9. I love video games- specifically Lego games and Assassin's Creed but I can only play for small amounts because they make me motion sick
10. We started our baby registry this week and I find that super exciting.
1. I teach SS to 7th and 8th graders. 2. Grades are due this week and all of a sudden I have kids and parents caring that they are failing and want to get all their missing work in two days. Actually one day now, grades are due on Wednesday. Errg... if you just do the work when it is due... 3. Spending all of my time either sleeping, grading or teaching. Cannot wait for fall break. 4. DH is trying to find a new job so I just worried about that. 5. I get to Larp this weekend, yeah! 6. I have a cute border collie mix dog named Anakin. We are a bit worried about him with the baby, he traditionally runs away from kids. So we need to look into training for him with babies. 7. We already bought our nursery furniture, so I saw a great deal on Craigslist for Pottery Barn nursery! It is used but in great condition and will work well for a boy or girl. 8. I get to play with gummy bears today! We are doing a gummy bear govt types activity should be fun 9. Just started playing Wildstar again, it went free to play. Love the game, just did not want to pay monthly fee for it. 10. Also looking at a getting a new gym, trying to cut expenses and we go to the most exspensive one in town. Not sure if I am going to like the other ones, I am spoiled with the nice gym.
1) I started working for the family business two weeks before I got pregnant, and I hate it here. 2) My dad is really excited to have me working here, so that's nice, but I already can't wait for maternity leave. 3) My husband and I bought our first house 6 months ago and just found out we need a roof, right after we started renovating the basement. So that sucks. 4) I'm afraid I'll lose touch with all my friends after the baby is born, because none of them are even close to having kids (or being married, for that matter) 5) The first thing I think about when I wake up in the morning is how I can't wait to go to bed later. 6) Our baby will be the first grandchild and great grandchild for both sides! Which is fun but also a lot of pressure! 7) I've been obsessed with zombies for 13 years and I hate that zombies are "trendy." I also hate that that makes me a snob haha. 8) I used to work at a bakery, and while I'm SO glad I quit, I miss decorating cakes everyday. 9) I hate winter. Its long and dark and I'm scared about being pregnant during snowy season. 10) One of my coworkers gets weird when I'm on my phone and talks and talks and talks when she sees me using it. This post took me way too long because I had to keep talking to her. She is sweet but she drives me insane.
1. I'm a college professor and I teach at 8 a.m. on Tues/Thurs.. Ugh!
2. Usually MH walks our dog on Tuesdays and Thursdays but he is way behind at work, so I woke up around 5 to make sure my dog got her 45-minute walk. I'll do anything for that pup!
3. I just filled out my registry last night as Crate and Barrel (where we registered for our wedding) had a free shipping day. I bought a lot of things. (whoops!)
4. We are painting our dining room. Trying to decide on a color of blue/gray.
5. We are also adding backsplash tiles to the kitchen. We go to a how-to class on Saturday to learn about it so we can do it ourselves!
Hmm...running out of ideas here. 6. I just spotted my dried apricots. I'm eating those with some nuts for snack every day. The sweet and salty combination is rather satisfying.
7. I'll return to my dog here. She rotates three spots to watch for squirrels outside. I call them her sentry posts. Post No. 1 is directly in front of the window. Post No. 2 is on the couch, with her arms hanging over the armrest, looking outside. Post No. 3 is upstairs on the landing where she has a birds-eye view of the yard. When she sees a squirrel she goes crazy. We need to break her of this habit.
8. MH is a scientist. I do cultural studies. We are an odd couple in that regard, but both fields are ways of looking at the world.
9. I am going to a Halloween party. I need costume ideas. My best idea right now is Wednesday Addams.
10. Yesterday I went to an event at my university honoring recently tenured/promoted faculty. We got to choose a book to dedicate in our honor. They put your nameplate in it and it says something along the lines of "This book is dedicated on behalf of so and so, who was promoted to Associate Professor in 2015." I chose the first book I read in grad school that inspired me to pursue my research area.
1.) I have a 7 page paper to write, and I don't feel like doing it. On the plus side it is about an "a*hole" in my life, so I'm sure it will all come relatively easy once I get going.
2.) I am both excited and nervous for 2 under 2.
3.) I feel like maternity leave will suck having DS home while adjusting to a newborn, I'm more terrified of maternity leave than life in general with 2 under 2.
4.) I'm currently eating raisin, date and walnut oatmeal. It's delicious.
5.) I'm at work and my boss is on vacation this week... not much will be done these next 4 days.
6.) It's raining and dreary here today and it makes me want to go back to bed.
7.) I'm almost all the way done with Breaking Bad. It's getting very intense!
8.) I'm very afraid of being "poor" but we really suck at saving. I wish we were better at it.
9.) My husband and I are polar opposites on just about everything. We rarely agree on anything outside of how to raise DS, but somehow we work very well together.
10.) I love that my husband and I have been able to take care of ourselves and do things 100% on our own, but I secretly wish that we had family that helped us out as much as some people do. I'm jealous.
1. Excited ten things Tuesday is still around. 2. I have a busy week of watching other kids and my DD. 3. We are trying to prepare our house to sell. I'm over it. 4. I really hope we can find a decent place to rent for a while. 5. I wish I kept the appt for today for my ultrasound, but like I said watching other people's kids. 6. My coffee needs more sugar or something. 7. I'm also trying to declutter as we prepare to sell, but my pack rat tendencies are hard to give up. 8. My daughter is snuggly and not so whiny today. #win 9. I need a shower. 10. I'm really anxious to get another EDD, my BF's wedding is two days after my current LMP due date.
1. I'm only going to let myself Bump right now and after work today. No more procrastination. 2. I ran track in college as a sprinter, but I've slowly converted myself into more of a distance runner. I like to run about 25-30 miles a week, but that hasn't happened lately due to nausea and fatigue. 3. I'm studying to be a Certified Financial Planner. The 10 hour exam is in March, so I'm hoping to get that all knocked out before baby comes. 4. I'm a "jack of all trades, master of none" type person. Soooo many things interest me, so I find it hard to scale my hobbies down into a few. 5. I'm a Rotarian. 6. I love to ski, but I live in the FLAT midwest. 7. I'm paranoid about finding daycare. I've called 4 of my top choices and a couple of them have waiting lists for two years!!! 8. My H is an engineer. 9. I'm in Toastmasters. 10. I like to volunteer. I do many service projects through Rotary, serve on three non-profit boards, and volunteer through church. Volunteering is honestly the best way to cheer myself up.
Happy Tuesday Everyone!
Me: 27 DH: 30 Married in 2011 Baby 1: Stillborn at 27 weeks (April 2014) Baby 2: Due May 2016
1. I picked up a second job at a Halloween store that last only 2 months. It's my first retail job ever. 2. I have my cardio kickboxing class tonight and I'm super excited! 3. We have a Siamese cat named Carlos. DH wants to get another cat for him to play with. 2 cats and a baby, then hopefully another baby and a dog later, I don't think our house can fit it all. 4. This will be the first grand baby on my side. Also I think I'm the only hope for my parents. My oldest brother had a vasectomy and my other brother I don't think is going to have kids, unless he finds someone who already has them. 5. On DH side our babies will be the last grand kids. His brother has two and is done. His sister doesn't want kids. 6. I want it to be November already so I can go deer hunting. I took the whole week off. 7. I'm only 7 weeks and we already have a crib, bookshelf, and changing table. I couldn't pass up the great deals. Also we bought the paint for the nursery. 8. I brought my lunch today (soup) but I may go and get Erberts & Gerberts (sandwhich place) instead. I know listeria but I have the same chance of getting it as before and it sound so good! 9. I hate anything pumpkin flavored. I also don't really like any kind of pie. 10. Open enrollment is starting at our jobs soon. I am not excited to be an adult and figure out what changes we should make.
9. I hate anything pumpkin flavored. I also don't really like any kind of pie.
10. Open enrollment is starting at our jobs soon. I am not excited to be an adult and figure out what changes we should make.
No pie?!!? What do you eat for dessert on Thanksgiving, may I ask?
@vinerie I was trying to remember and I don't think I really eat dessert at thanksgiving or much of the food. I'm not a huge fan of thanksgiving food either. Ours is more relaxed because everyone's hunting, then we come in for thanksgiving lunch. Then everyone goes to other family for dinner.
1. Have my appointment today!!! 7w2d so we should hear the HB.
2. I told one of my BFFs last night that I'm expecting and she is beyond excited for us. I wish she lived closer to we could really celebrate together
3. I had a phone interview today and it went really well. I go in on Thursday to meet in person/ see the office FX cause I really need a job!
4. We painted the exterior of our house the past 2 weekends and it looks like a whole new house
5. Speaking oh home renovations .. I feel like we have so much to do to get the nursery ready. We decided to change the closet layout and build built-in with a reading nook under a window..PLUS replace both windows in the room because currently neither of them actually close
6. Im not really worried about our animals 1 cat 1 dog. My cat will ignore the baby and our dog will be the BFF to baby. Our dog is so sweet and loves children
7.There is an annual halloween dog costume contest that we go to . This year he will be the travelocity gnome. Last year he was a chia pet and won 2nd. The winner was a scuba diving bulldog. ( the bulldog won the previous year as well so if he wins again its TOTES rigged)
8. @m6agua yes open enrollment is not fun. We always end up calling the ILs to help us figure it out. We are switching policies this year. Less deductible but pay more out of pocket. It always seems to be a double edged sword.
9. It is now raining. Why can't we have nice weather? Its either too hot or raining.
10. This took me entirely too long. Guess I have an uneventful life lol
1. I'm tired all the time and could sleep all day everyday. Ready for some energy!
2. I'm not a coffee person so this makes it harder for me! I sometimes like it but not really. I can drink a frap but not much else. I may have to force myself.
3. My DS is 3 and changes his mind daily on what he wants to be for Halloween lol.
4. I bought a fall pumpkin spice candle and I'm scared to light it because I'm afraid it will bring on nausea. But I really wanted it at the store! Sigh!
5. My job is super easy and I'm bored with it. It pays good and I can't complain. It's not like I could go job hunting right now being KU. I'm being a brat about it and I wish I was happier.
6. I'm not ready for it to be cold outside. I hate being cold!! But on the flip side I have more winter clothes than summer/spring. Plus tights!
7. My DH and I both are making ends meet pretty well but he is only working part time and waiting to be promoted to full time. The insurance is insane good for part time even. They are paying 100% of my maternity! I can't wait till he gets promoted! Fingers crossed!
8. I'm debating on buying a Halloween costume to match my DS. I think it would be fun. Most likely it will be a super hero but he just doesn't know which one.
9. My DS is 3 and goes to a wonderful daycare. He still cries every morning when we drop him off. I'm trying to figure out a way he will stop and walk in by himself. I'm worried for pre school. That teacher most likely won't hold him until he is okay. The crazy thing is he loves school! Any tips?
10. Another one about daycare. My DS daycare it's pretty much a preschool. It's the most expensive one in town. We are hoping to put him in preschool by next year. So we can afford to put the new baby at his daycare. I don't think we can afford both. This daycare has given me such a piece of mind. Nanny cams, healthy food, music time, gym time, and they follow school curriculum. He knew how to count to 20 and all his colors and shapes by 2! They helped potty train him as well! You have to qualify for pre school for them to go all day. Maybe it won't be too expensive for him to go half a day!
@pooputtette I hear ya on the home renovations! We have an entire floor of carpet to rip out and replace with laminate. And we need to do it soon because now I can smell the carpet and it's awful.
1. I work from home, and right now I'm getting bored in between page loads because the system we use keeps having time out error issues. So I'm waiting for the queue to load. I can't work without using the queue.
2. I hate coffee. I like cold fraps, but those are few and far between since I can't fathom splurging 5.00 per cup of coffee from Starbucks. I'm more of a Mountain Dew person. I've been drinking a glass of it almost every morning then the rest of the day water and/or non caffeinated beverages.
3. Right now I have my tv on for white noise. I can't stand silence. My brain wanders with silence. Right now I have Beauty and the Beast in the dvd player. It is my all time favorite Disney movie and I can watch it (or rather listen to it) repeatedly.
4. Exactly one week before we got a BFP on the test, we started ripping out the fence in our backyard and replacing it. This has been a weekend only project. My job is raking dirt and handing hubby pickets. We have almost finished one side of it. We have had to skip a few weekends in a row due to rainy weather.
5. This is my favorite time of the year. October, November, and December. I love these months.
6. I've already got the LO a Halloween costume for next year. He/She isn't even born yet and already has a Halloween costume. One of the little alien toys from Toy Story. It was on clearance at the Disney store and it was so adorable I had to buy it. I bought the correct month range for what LO should be then.
7. LO will have so many knitted things. One thing is for certain he/she won't need any hats.
8. I wish I could be a SAHM once LO gets here. I'd like nothing better, but we cannot afford it. We might could have if not for stupid Obamacare making it a requirement to have insurance. It would cost an arm and a leg to add me to my hubby's policy and another arm and a leg to add the LO. Not to mention the other bills we have like the mortgage and utilities. Luckily though, my work's insurance is really good and adding LO won't cost as much on my policy as hubby's.
9. I LOVE cool/cold weather. I hate hot weather and I hate sweating. So I"m glad that this pregnancy is not in the summer.
10. Right now all I want to eat for lunch every day is Stouffers Macaroni and Cheese....... there is something about that ooey gooey cheesy goodness.
1) My pants don't fit and I cant bring myself to buying maternity yet. The gaps by me all closed their maternity... where does everyone else shop for trendy clothes. I work in fashion, and still need to look "on trend". Why don't my pants fit? See point 2
2) I just ordered pork fried rice, miso soup and an egg roll for lunch. Famished. Not sure how I am going to wait 30 minutes for it to get here.
3) I feel asleep on the couch at 8:00. This is my new bedtime it seems.
4) DH and I are NOT winter people. I hate snow. Hate being cold. Hate slush. Hate everything about winter and wish we lived somewhere where it was atleast 80 degrees year round
5) When I was 7, I "married" Patrick Swayze (we have the same bday too!). He is still my celeb crush and I cried when he died
6) I cant wait to find out the sex of the baby so I can start shopping! I am big on bows and frills for girls and boyish themes for boys. Just how I am. But our nursery will be multi- color gender neutral. Go figure!
7) I totally believe in Bigfoot. Not too sure about Nessie though; that seems like a stretch.
8) I finally "feel pregnant" after my US yesterday. Seriously, seeing and hearing the HB was out of this world!!
9) If I could be a SAHM and a part time yoga instructor, that would be the life! I am worried about my current work schedule where I can easily put in 10 hour days. But we need my salary so no chance of the dream coming true. Bu seriously, wearing yoga pants to work. #thedream
10) Glad this is over. Way too hard to think of 10 things to say!
@yogahh I can't stand winter either. I don't understand what's to like about it?! Also referencing your #9. This is what I do currently. I had to drop a bunch of classes because of the fatigue but otherwise (when I was not pregnant) I was able to make good money teaching a few times a day, 6 days a week. Also, not gonna lie, kicking around in yoga pants is awesome, but there are also times that I miss getting dressed up for work. There is something about putting makeup on, jewelry, and a pair of heels that can't be beat! I guess the grass is always greener.
1. I'm making an apple pie with the half eaten apples my kids leave lying around. I used to make sangria with their leftover fruit, but pie will have to do for now! 2. I haven't told anyone but my 2 bff (and husband of course) about this baby. I am almost 10 weeks. 3. The reason we are keeping it a secret for now is I have placental bleeding, which is very worrying to me, having had 2 losses last year. 4. My kids took the losses very hard (It wasn't my intention to tell them but I was hospitalized and my mom told them the truth). It just makes me really sad that they still talk about their 2 siblings in heaven. 5. Bff #1 is also pg (7 weeks) and already fb announced, belly pics, asking to borrow baby gear from friends. I desparately want to tell her to slow down until her 1st appt. She hasn't even had a heartbeat established yet! 6. Bff #2 is struggling with infertility. I texted her the news about my pregnancy, and have plans to meet her tomorrow. Say a prayer for her if you are the praying type. I feel awful that her 2 best friends (bff #1 and me) are pg at the same time 7. Taco Tuesday, y'all! 8. It kind of makes me sad that the board culture makes people feel bad about posting something that may have been posted already... I have a "post and let post" mentality. This should be a place to vent and ask specific advice, and it makes me feel bad when every post needs a disclaimer "I searched, I promise, please don't flame me if this has been asked before!" 9. My kids have separate bedrooms but lately choose to all sleep together. I love listening to them talk before they go to sleep, and take turns reading to the little one. I feel hugely blessed 10. I have so much work to do but will eat cookies, drink tea, and watch netflix for the next hour while little one is napping.
1.) I run an auto center and work no less than 10hours a day on top of a two hour commute total. 2.) Im currently job searching so I can be closer to home when baby comes and my maternity leave is over. 3.) I play piano and love it. It relieves a lot of stress and emotions! 4.) I just bought my first house and am still finishing up the deco. Have to change the spare room upstairs into a nursery instead of a guest room which is exciting! 5.) I have 2 dogs, a boxer and a pitbull. Both are lap dogs, or so they think. I am a little worried about my boxer as she is intimidated by kids who are eye level or shorter, but my pitbull is a love bug who loves attention no matter your age. 6.) I have a Jeep Liberty that will have plenty of room for baby and my SO just bought a van so he will have room for baby as well. 7.) My SO is quitting smoking for the health of the baby . This is awesome, though he doesnt smoke inside, he smokes in his vehicle and I told him that's a no no for when baby comes, so he is working on quitting and is doing well so far. I don't smoke. 8.) my mom was upset at first about baby bcuz of religious beliefs and we aren't married yet, but now she is a shopaholic with baby clothes!! 9.) I am in the middle of planning a wedding which is exciting and stressful all at once. The stress is exacerbated by the surge of hormones right now. 10.) im getting ready to take my lunch break and even though I'm starving, nothing I ever eat seems to sit well with me these days. I'm hoping some Mac n Cheese will do the trick bcuz that's what sounds delicious right now
1. I had Cheesecake Factory cheesecake for breakfast. It had strawberries and was so good. 2. I'm super excited about Christmas!!! It's too soon and I need to chill out. 3. My Halloween costume needs a new Velcro closure in the back because my belly is going to be too big. 4. My husband offered to sew it for me. His mom is really good at sewing and taught him too. So thankful! 5. We're remodeling our master bath soon. I'm dying to tear it up but we're still choosing fixtures and holy heck it's taking forever to get through. I'm worried it won't be done before the baby gets here. 6. My car got new oil, wipers, tires, and was super detailed at the dealer yesterday. 7. I just realized DH needs a new car if he wants to take all 3 kids at once. He has a Versa hatchback. 8. I'm already nesting. I actually enjoy cleaning and decluttering. My husband absolutely adores this aspect of pregnancy. 9. Vegetables are my main craving. Salad > chocolate. 10. The weather is great here in FL, especially at night. I've been taking a a lot of long walks to really take it in while it lasts. One day it's 65*, the next it's 92*.
1. I told everyone I was pregnant pretty early with DD (like even told work around 6 weeks bc morning sickness was so bad) so I'm totally paranoid trying to keep it quiet this time. Every time I walk past my admin's desk to pee I feel like she totally knows. 2. I have a horrible cold and finally went to the doctor today. It was a waste of a copay - he said it's viral and gave me a neti pot and even asked me "how is your stamina? Are you fatigued?" ... Buddy I'm ~8 weeks pregnant. I wouldn't know if the cold has me tired because I am so exhausted from first tri! 3. DD is trying to kill me waking up in the night screaming/crying (1 am & 3:30 am the last two nights) and then only wanting to snuggle. 4. Did I mention I'm tired? 5. I'm having Smoothie King for lunch and it is freaking amazing. I'm just glad something sounds good! 6. I'm annoyed that they gave me speakers to listen to music at work because I'm a big nerd and I would rather listen to Podcasts but I don't want to admit that. "> 7. I'm oddly worried about when this baby will come since EDD is so close to DD's birthday. I'm leaning towards a scheduled RCS but even then I'm so undecided on the date. And knowing my luck this baby will come randomly on a different day anyway lol 8. We have a 3 bedroom house and we have a guest room that is pretty much always in use - a lot of out of town family comes to visit and right now my SIL is living with us for a couple of months. I want to look for a bigger house with another baby on the way but DH is firmly against it. He said family can get hotel rooms or sleep on the couch. I downloaded the Zillow app anyway :P 9. Work provides snacks and drinks (sodas/coffee/water, etc) and I feel like an asshole because I have been stockpiling the 100 calorie packs of pretzels. I have them in my car, in my purse, in my drawer, for carb cravings/nausea. I know, totally abusing the system, but they're so good. 10. Now I'm craving shells n cheese, thanks a lot @Htow89 !! Haha
1. Our stove is still broken...but I made hot sausage with sauce, peppers, and onions in the crockpot yesterday and we'll have it tonight with pasta after having sandwiches with it yesterday. I'm excited.
2. I started a new unit with my students today. The major work within this unit is Their Eyes Were Watching God, which I love to teach (and reread).
3. I made it through parent-teacher conferences again! It always feels like such a victory for some reason.
4. This past weekend we went to the pumpkin patch/fall festival at one of the farms near us. DS was absolutely adorable with the animals in the petting zoo. He was running around trying to pet each one, making several rounds to the sheep, pigs, and goats. Finally, he found a pile of goats (they were all snuggled together) and he plopped down right with them and starting hugging them and blowing kisses. I got some of it on video and I'm so glad I did! The animals were all very friendly, thankfully : )
5. DH is still job searching, but has some promising leads that we're waiting to hear back from. It's starting to take a toll on him : /
6. I'm tired. DS is starting to exhibit some of the same separation anxiety behaviors I saw from him when I went back to work for the school year last year again. Like needing me in the room to fall asleep, then waking up the minute I leave. I'm so quiet when I leave, it must be the scent or something. At first I thought it was just because he was getting over a cold, but he's been better for a week now. We had such a good, healthy sleep routine after night weaning at the end of July, and within my first month back to work again I feel like it's all unraveling. CIO is not an option...he's persistent, a wind-up crier, and gets legitimately upset. We've tried it in the past and he vomits.
7. I had to tell the secretary at school that I'm pregnant b/c I needed to fill out a personal day request for my first trimester ultrasound. She reacted exactly how I suspected-- really excited, then a bit frustrated b/c I'm the third pregnant teacher this year. We have a young staff...it's bound to happen.
8. I recently started watching The Mindy Project with DH when we have little snippets of time together.
9. DH and I got our groove back this weekend. We had been cautious before because I have a history of bleeding/spotting, but it was great!
10. I'm so glad that my nausea is easing up by 10 weeks-- but now it makes me concerned about the baby since it was so much worse and stuck around much longer with DS. I'll just have to trust that everything is fine until out ultrasound on the 26th.
@yogahh I live in Texas and it's still in the 90s out. I could totally go for some Fall weather about now!
Try Gap/Old Navy online, Anne Taylor Loft (also online), A Pea in the Pod, Target, and local boutiques. And stock up on flowy tops and leggings. This is really the best timing for pregnancy, we won't be pregnant through the heat of the summer and when we're trying to hide our bumps is perfect timing for Fall clothes including loose tops over leggings with boots, and all the sweaters!
Random but last baby I bought some staple pieces (maternity jeans and some cute tops) at Goodwill looking brand new. Wash 'em in hot water once and nobody will ever know. I'd rather spend that money on baby clothes!
1) I just got back from a long weekend trip to San Francisco and 7 hours on a plane each way was not fun, but the weekend was wonderful.
2) I have my first appointment tomorrow morning with the Nurse Practioner. I know I won't have an ultrasound or get to listen to the heartbeat, but it will be good to get some information.
3) I am very excited that my maternity leave will most likely be during the summer Olympics next year.
4) I have been too nervous to buy anything for the baby yet, but I bought a book on my trip for the little one!
5) I would love to be a SAHM, but we need my income and I wouldn't be able to easily go back to work at the level I am now when our kiddos are in school full time.
6) I'm a huge Chicago Cubs fan and DH is a New York Mets fan so we have had a happy house with playoffs this week. If they end up playing each other in the NLCS things could get interesting!
7) I have had great intentions of keeping up with my workout routine, but so far I have been so exhausted and now nauseous that I haven't been doing as well. Doing what I can though. Hopefully 2nd Tri will be better.
8) I'm about to go into a super busy time at work and I'm really anxious about it.
9) We built a house last spring and one of the things I'm most excited about is going from garage to garage at home and work this winter so I won't have to go outside.
10) I love Christmas, but picking out the perfect presents for everyone is nerve wracking for me, so this year I'm starting super early Christmas shopping.
1. I've been going to Starbucks every morning for the last week because I feel like it. 2. I have most of my fall decor out but I really just can't wait to decorate for Christmas. 3. I'm currently looking at a pair of my 2yo's shoes on the rug and wondering why toddler shoes are so damn hard to put on. Just why? 4. I think we will have baked potatoes for dinner because...potatoes. That and cereal is all I want lately. Mainly Cheerios with half milk and half heavy cream. I should probably stop that soon. 5. All the neighbors leaves fall in our pool and I feel like sending them a bill for the cleaning. 6. Sometimes I want to wake my DD up in the middle of the night and just hold her. If I knew she would go back to sleep, I would totally do it every night. 7. I have about ten nail polishes that are basically all the same color. Time to clean out my stash. 8. I think I would have awesome hair in the '80's. It's naturally wavy and I could have really pumped it up. Easier than blow drying and flat ironing... 9. I like to wear minimal eye makeup and bold lipstick. 10. My dog is wearing a glow in the dark Halloween collar. He insists on being festive.
I LOVE reading everyone's lists! So fun getting to know you guys more and more!
OK here goes..
1) I had two pieces of white pizza for dinner and it was amazing. (still can't eat tomatoes) 2) I just told my 94 & 95 year old grandparents that I'm pregnant and it was almost as amazing as the pizza. Seriously though, they are incredible people and this will be their 6th great grandchild! 3) I love fall so much I cried this morning while we were taking our dogs to the park. I saw a pumpkin and it sent me over the edge. 4) The holiday season in NYC is my favorite time and place in all the land, I am so excited to experience it pregnant! 5) My husband is a comedian and a writer. He's the funniest, most talented man I've ever met. 6) We are obsessed with our dogs, Reggie & Birdie. We make each other look at how cute they are at least twice a day. They are staring at me right now and I wish you could see how cute they are!! 7) I am the business manager for a real life princess. Way less glamorous than it sounds. 8) I went to boarding school in Maine. 9) I went to college in Northern California. 10) My new favorite TV show is Manhattan! Season 2 premiere is tonight and I can't wait!!!!
1. I am exhausted all day long. No matter how much sleep I get.
2. Today at work, I was productive for maybe 1 full hour out of an 8 hour day. All I can think about in the morning is what I'm have for lunch. After lunch all I can think about is what's for dinner. Food is occupying my brain.
3. I told DH that I would start dinner tonight if he picked up DS. All I needed to do for dinner was put it in the oven. It gave me a good 45 minutes to sit and watch Dr. Phil in peace.
4. I can not wait for my first u/s next Wednesday. It's seems like forever away. I don't know how those that have to wait till 20 weeks do it?!
5. I have had taco salad from Rey Azteca three times for lunch this week. I LOVE Mexican food! )
6. We haven't told anyone that we are expecting yet. MIL has questioned if I was pregnant this past weekend. I'm pretty good at keeping a straight face but I don't think she believed me. Annoying..
7. I can't stand coffee, chocolate or ice cream. It's very upsetting since these all played a major part in my life.
8. My mom wants me to start going to the gym with her in the morning (4:30am). I keep texting her saying DS is up or I'm not feeling well. I really need a new excuse at least for the next week.
9. I've have little to no empathy for some of my clients. You didn't sleep last night, neither did I. You have a belly ache, welcome to my life. You are broke, stop buying cigarettes. It's going to be a very long pregnancy.
10. During work today, I figured out how many weeks I can take paid and how much we'd have to save for me to take all 12 weeks. With DS I was actually ready for human interaction after 8 weeks. So I'm still unsure how many weeks I'll actually take. I definitely am looking forward to maternity leave though!
1. If I had one wish, I'd wish to be migraine free. I've had them since I was 10. Having these migraines while pregnant and not being able to take my normal meds is torture.
2. My parents live two houses away from me. I wasn't exactly sure how that would work out when we bought our house, but I LOVE it.
3. I became a stay at home mom after having my second daughter. I'm happy to be home with them, but sometimes I think I was a better mom when I was working.
4. I recently got into photography and took several classes. Even though I wouldn't consider myself to be artistic, I love this and I have a pretty good eye when it comes to photos.
5. I have a bad sweet tooth, like real bad. Although, it seems to have calmed down since becoming pregnant.
6. I cannot get enough of the Golden Girls. I will watch and re-watch episodes whenever they are on.
7. I found out the sex when I was pregnant with my girls, but I think I've convinced myself to keep this baby's sex a secret. It's likely our last baby, so I want to get to experience that surprise just once.
8. I am not a morning person. I thought I would become one the older I got. No way.
9. I rarely start discussions on The Bump, but I love reading and responding.
10. I have to have my room cold when I sleep. There is always a fan on (partially for white noise), even in the winter.
2) I need to decorate for Halloween yet. This is the 1st year I will be able to give out candy at our house. We've lived here 5 years and never gotten to because of work!
3) Next appointment is in 10 days. I hope we get to hear the heartbeat this time.
4) I'm thinking about taking a vacation day just to sleep this week. I'm sooo tired.
5) I'm wishing I could be a SAHM, but if we can afford one of us to stay home, it will be my hubby. He's going to go back to school at the same time. I'm a little worried if he'll be able to handle it all...
6) I'm worried our house is too small for a baby. We have a 2 bedroom house, and the nursery room is the size of a twin bed with 2 feet around it on 2 sides.. My husband for years was saying we needed to buy a bigger house before having a baby.
7) We finished all of our big projects with our house this summer, so I'm relieved that is done.
8) My aunt has some leftover baby things, so she's going to give them to me. I'm super excited because I have a small family and not many friends, so my shower will be tiny.
9) A small victory- I haven't bitten my fingernails in a couple of days. I had fake nails on before this and they got long underneath so I painted them right away so hopefully I won't bite them..
10) I'm terrified of getting the gestational diabetes. I'm so afraid of needles.
9. I told DH I want to see Hotel Transylvania 2 this weekend. But primarily because movie theater popcorn sounds good.
10. We are announcing to our families on 10/30 and I don't know how we are going to keep our mouths shut for another 2.5 weeks!
DH and I went to the movies last week and the popcorn was so good. We didn't finish it all so I brought it home and put it in plastic bags. I have been eating it as a snack.

I see your movie popcorn and raise you movie popcorn dipped in the cheese that comes with pretzel bites! We went to the movies last weekend too and I made my husb get pretzel bites just so I could dip my popcorn in the cheese and it was awesome. In fact, I may have to push for another movie date this weekend...
What a fun idea - we didn't do TTT on my other BMB!
1. Had my first "official" appointment today and we were able to see the baby and heartbeat on U/S. The appointment went really well.
2. DH and I have been binge watching Arrow on Netflix - it's so good.
3. Speaking of TV shows, DH and I watched Breaking Bad Season 1 when it originally aired and hated the show. We stopped watching it and would talk about how the show would never catch on. Boy, were we wrong about how popular that show became.
4. We have 1 dog, a black mixed breed (he looks like a small black lab) and he's great with DS. It's so cute seeing them interact together.
5. DH became a SAHD when I changed jobs last June and it was such a great decision. I wish I could be a SAHM some days, but my job is one of a kind and it would be hard to get back into my field if I left.
6. Since I had a doctor's appointment today, I was able to go to drop off and pick up at DS's preschool. It was great being able to see him playing and chatting with his classmates.
7. I cannot wait for the nausea, fatigue, and food aversions to be over. I feel like total crap all day, everyday and feeling like this for the next few weeks seems unbearable.
8. I was really bummed that there was a 5 lb difference between my home scale and the one at the doctor's office. I think I'll keep tracking using my home scale since that what I used pre-pregnancy, but my doctor thinks I gained 5 lbs already when I really haven't.
9. I'm planning on going shopping this weekend for maternity clothes. I need clothes that don't cut into my bloat.
10. Speaking of shopping, I'm most likely going to get a baby book for this LO soon. I want to put the U/S pics into a book before I misplace them.
1. My US is next Wednesday and I excited and nervous all at once.
2. My cat has become extra clingy lately. He's not a smoocher but now he follows me and sleeps on me or next to me constantly... I think he can sense the pregnancy.
3. I live in New Zealand but am from America. I still don't have my NZ drivers license which is making doc appointments difficult. Need to finish that soon.
4. My cousin is getting married (in San Fran) the week I am due so I announced early so I could tell her why I can't go without lying.
5. I have another cousin also in San Fran who is due a few weeks before me. It makes me want to move back to the US just to be close to some family.
6. I'm a SAHW at the moment and doing a bad job of it. Lately I don't have the energy to cook or do anything around the house. I just want to sleep all day.
7. My hobbies are a bit of a mish-mash. I love to knit, crochet, cook and play video games. I haven't managed to knit/crochet in weeks but hope to start a baby blanket soon.
8. Something I'm dealing with is feeling lonely. I have no sibling and both of my parents have passed. Having no immediate family makes me feel like I'm not teathered to the rest of the world.
9. I'm going shopping in two days for maternity clothes. That came sooner than I expected. I still fit my old stuff but at 11.5 weeks things are getting snug... I'm not exactly plus size but I'm far from petit. Lucously curvy? My DDs are feeling more like size F though...DH says my boobs are practically pornographic at this point. These better not get bigger!!
10. I have an extremely hard time making friends with women. I have had maybe two good girl friends in my entire life and I haven't talked to them in over 10 years. Makes this whole process harder not having any ladies to really talk to.
Re: Ten Things Tuesday
We are doing a gummy bear govt types activity should be fun
Married to my Soul Mate since 09/06/09
1) I started working for the family business two weeks before I got pregnant, and I hate it here.
2) My dad is really excited to have me working here, so that's nice, but I already can't wait for maternity leave.
3) My husband and I bought our first house 6 months ago and just found out we need a roof, right after we started renovating the basement. So that sucks.
4) I'm afraid I'll lose touch with all my friends after the baby is born, because none of them are even close to having kids (or being married, for that matter)
5) The first thing I think about when I wake up in the morning is how I can't wait to go to bed later.
DS: Born 5-17-16
Great idea!
Make a pregnancy ticker
#win
Married in 2011
Baby 1: Stillborn at 27 weeks (April 2014)
Baby 2: Due May 2016

- BFP: 3/10/16 — Baby Girl born 11/20/16
TTC#2 April 20191.

PGAL
I feel awful that her 2 best friends (bff #1 and me) are pg at the same time
7. Taco Tuesday, y'all!
8. It kind of makes me sad that the board culture makes people feel bad about posting something that may have been posted already... I have a "post and let post" mentality. This should be a place to vent and ask specific advice, and it makes me feel bad when every post needs a disclaimer "I searched, I promise, please don't flame me if this has been asked before!"
9. My kids have separate bedrooms but lately choose to all sleep together. I love listening to them talk before they go to sleep, and take turns reading to the little one. I feel hugely blessed
10. I have so much work to do but will eat cookies, drink tea, and watch netflix for the next hour while little one is napping.
I'm hoping some Mac n Cheese will do the trick bcuz that's what sounds delicious right now
7. I'm oddly worried about when this baby will come since EDD is so close to DD's birthday. I'm leaning towards a scheduled RCS but even then I'm so undecided on the date. And knowing my luck this baby will come randomly on a different day anyway lol
8. I downloaded the Zillow app anyway :P
Haha

Phew! Why was that so hard?!?
I LOVE Mexican food! )
