I used them for the first time yesterday and my son vomited almost his entire bottle. Mind you, previously he'd only spit up a little and be fussy for about 20 minutes after a bottle. Guess they weren't for us.
We use colic calm. It has helped tremendously. It works for gas and upset stomachs. Warning it's black and stains so wash whatever it comes in contact with asap

We use the Little Remedies Gas Relief drops after EVERY FEED and he will scream if I forget it. If he is still really fussy after that I will do a dose of gripe water and that combo almost always works. DS loves the gas drops and is always licking his lips after I give them.
I havent had to use it much, but mommy's bliss gripe water has worked for us. It's vegan too. Completely natural, which is nice. (Not that other products aren't, of course. I just like that about it.) In addition to that, I also burp my LO about every two ounces or so. I don't stop patting him on the back until I'm satisfied, even if he falls asleep. My LO also burps like an adult, so it's easy for me to tell when he has been burped very well. Lol
My baby has a TON of gas lately, for a breast milk fed baby. We burp him a ton, and it's amazing how much he burps and how strong the burps are. Even being burped a lot, he still seems to have gas pain, though. He'll be four weeks tomorrow, and this past week has been BAD. We got the Hy-Vee house brand version of the dye-free Mylicon gas drops (marked "best seller" on the shelf and we got the last bottle, LOL), and they've worked FANTASTICALLY, for the most part.
Last night was bad again, despite the gas drops, but it was also after one of his very infrequent feedings using a bottle of expressed milk (happens three evening feedings a week, while I am at my 4-hour long grad school classes Tuesday, Wed. and Thursdays), so my guess is that he ended up gulping more air than usual when he took that bottle at about 8 last night. All the rest of his feedings apart from those are breast, not pumped milk from a bottle, and the house brand Mylicon seems to be working well with those feedings.
