what does this mean?

So when I stand up I feel that my stomach is hard above the pubic bone. When I lay down it goes away?

Umm no I don't have to poop. Lol I have poop enough for it to go away and it doesn't

    I don't understand what your saying ?

Also, your stomach is actually near your ribs, and far above the pubic bone. So, likely candidates for what your describing are GI causes: poo or gas, as PPs noted above, or activated abdominal wall muscles supporting your core while standing. :-??

Symptom spotting means that every time something odd happens to your body you think it could be related to TTC/pregnancy. It can drive you crazy and give you false hope that you are pregnant.

I'm assuming you want to know if this stomach thing could maybe possibly be related to pregnancy.

There's a huge tendency when TTC to look at every little twinge or cramp or sore spot and interpret it as a "symptom" of ovulation, implantation, early pregnancy, etc.  Hence the phrase "symptom spotting". The problem with symptom spotting is it gives you a LOT of false hope (lots of things seem like "symptoms" but are really just PMS, or gas, or whatever).

If you're not thinking/asking if this is related to pregnancy, sorry for the assumption. There are just very, very frequent symptom spotting posts.

Yah, I agree with all the posters. A "hard stomache" isn't an early pregnancy symptom-- It is a symptom of gas. Kuddos on the super roundabout way of asking if your pregnant though!

Its likely you feeling your abdominal muscles supporting your body when you stand like a PP said.  Symptom spotting is no good because something new/different happens and you're like

and then AF comes and you're all depressed because you were sure this was your month.  Friends don't let friends symptom spot.

What exactly are you asking? Usually this type of thing means you have to fart or poop. If you were pregnant (just for the sake of argument because we all know that's what you are really asking) your uterus doesn't protrude past your pelvic bone until around 12 weeks.

So, if it was a baby in your uterus then you would turn an HPT positive by now. Have you tested?
