Hi ladies!

I thought its time to intro after lurking on here for a bit now.

I am 25, DH is 27 (28 in 9 days).We have been together almost 4 years and married for just under a year and a half. We have a household of animals (4 cats, 2 dogs, and a fish). They are our babies and are all spoiled rotten. We live in New England and love it!

We have been TTC for 5 months (I know, not super long but it feels like forever). My last period was June 1. It was my withdrawal bleed from coming off birth control. Since then, nothing. I have been temping, charting, reording CM and attempting to turn OPKs (and failing miserably). I am currently on CD 134.

On Sept 3, I finally was able to get into my OBs office. I was diagnosed with PCOS just based purely off my symptoms. She prescribed me Metformin (500mgs first week then bumped up to 1000mgs second week and stay there). I have been taking that religiously since and am waiting on my ultrasound on November 3. I have ALWAYS had irregular periods and was put on birth control to regulate them back when I was 14/15 years old.

So here I am now, patiently waiting for my ultrasound appt. DH and I talked the other night and decided that I am going to talk to my OB about seeing a RE. We have been researching clinics around us and are stuck on 2 different ones. At my appt I plan on asking my OB which if the two she thinks is better and go from there.

Welcome and GL! Be prepared for your OB to say that metformin takes 3nonths to work, but be your own advocate if you and DH feel strongly about looking into it further. Sorry you are struggling with an IF Dx, but glad to have you join our group!

Thats good to know! She had said to me about seeing an RE between 6 months and a year. I dont think I need a referal but it would be nice for her to be on board with me but we shall see.
