Hi, I'm on day 5 of my stimulation meds. Went to my dr today for blood work and U/S. So far I only have 2 follicles Is this something to worry about? I'm going back on Wednesday.

I'm not an expert but when I started my first cycle last year we were hoping for just one follicle that grew large enough.... As long as your two follicles are growing in size you should be fine.

@daisygrl007 it's hard to say with just that much information. Your RE may only have been talking about the follies over 10mm. The others, if there are smaller ones, should catch up over the next few days. is he adjusting your meds? If they up your meds and more mature you may be good. One of our Sep/oct ladies started off with a low number of follies but ended up with a great ER and fertilization rate. (Looking at you @ShayLatrice ! )
If you don't have more than 2 follies by the ER they may cancel the cycle and try again the next month but you have several days to grow!! I'd call the RE to clarify unless you know that there were no smaller follies increasing in size. GL!

It is all dependent on ur doctor's protocol. My doctor cancels the cycle if there's less than 4 follicles the day before retrieval is scheduled. Ur only on day 5 though, so a few more follies will most likely emerge.. Definitely Don't give up hope yet. What is ur estradiol reading so far?

daisygrl007  I too had had only 2 visible follies after about 5 days of meds, but my doc pushed my body til literally the last possible day on the meds and she told me to start back my CoQ10 and DHEA. I have DOR so she wasn't expecting a lot of follies, but on ER day we got 6 eggs, 5 of them were mature and 3 fertilized. So it is possible you might be a slow responder like I was. My problem is my metabolism, when it comes to medications they have always either had no affect of little affect because my metabolism processes them so fast. If you don't mind me asking, what is your  age? And also, do you know your AMH level?

Hi, I'm 34. Don't know my AMH level. Was at the Dr yesterday and I now have 3 follicles . I'm still taking DHEA and CoQ20. Going back tomorrow for another u/s. Dr said we could work 3. Never know if another one pops up tomorrow ;p

You have the right outlook! And there could always be one or two lurkers they find during the ER! GL and keep us updated! So excited for you!

daisygrl007  I'm sure your doctor has your AMH level if they did any blood work, so you can ask just so you know for yourself. Staying positive is definitely the right path to take, you most certainly could have a few playing hide n seek when you go in. When is your ER scheduled for? My RE pushed me 4 days past my ER in order to mature the last 2 eggs and it was definitely worth it. Although, I was as uncomfortable as a virgin in a brothel...

Tomorrow is the retrieval day. We only have 3 follicles. Hoping for the best!

GL! Fingers crossed there are extra surprise follies hidden away and that all three are great eggs!

**bfp mentioned*** good luck! Try not to worry that u only have 3, when we did ours we only ended up with 5 mature eggs- 2 made it to 5 day blasts- we implanted 1 and im now 10 weeks pregnant. It's definitely quality over quantity :-)

Well tomorrow is my transfer. One has fertilized very well but there other hasn't

Embryo transfer went well. Feeling all sort of emotions. Only one was implanted. The other didn't fertilized.

Yesterday was the big day. Unfortunately the news wasn't great. BFN it's really heartbreaking. We are going to try round 2 in December. Trying to stay positive.
