Heartburn.

All I'm saying is the myth had better be true. I want to see full head of hair! Not peach fuzz with as much heartburn as I've had this pregnancy. Doesn't matter what I eat, how I lay down, it just always happens!

Re: Heartburn.

  • No longer a myth Johns Hopkins set out to de bunk the " myth" and proved the myth to be correct!
  • Loading the player...
  • I've had it too especially once I lay down, I've found slowly eating half a tums and then putting the other half in my cheek to suck on helps... Also no food or drink 2-3 hours before sleep
  • Not a myth for me. The ultrasound tech could actually see a full head of hair at the last one.
  • I recently read that 82% of women who suffer from heartburn during pregnancy have a newborn with a full head of hair!
  • Seriously, I told my husband this boy better come out with a ponytail the amount of heartburn I have had!
  • I've had horrible heartburn with all my babies. This will be #4. So far they've all been pretty well bald! Lol
  • I didn't have any with my son and he was born with a full head of hair. It was pretty bad with my daughter, and she had hair, but not nearly as much as my son. It is so much worse this time around I am betting this one will be completely bald!

I have found that tums are completely useless, but Pepcid at least gives me a little bit of relief. Also, as silly as it sounds, sometimes if I eat an ice cube or two it gets the baby to move around enough to take a little bit of pressure off my stomach and it makes it a little bit better.
  • With my son the myth was totally opposite. I had horrible horrible heartburn, even got it from milk, and he barely had any peach fuzz. Barely had any with my daughter and she has more hair than he did but still not a lot. This time I have horrible heartburn again and he better have hair lol
  • I had really obnoxious heartburn, especially near the end, and my baby was born with a full head of gorgeous dark hair. :)
  • My fiancé came out hairy ... everywhere! Like an ape! If he is like his daddy, the myth will be true. Everyone told me during the first 8 months "it'll go away when he drops". No. If anything, it was worse. We say hair on the ultra sound at 32 weeks, so we know he will have seen hair on his head! I'm 40w1d and still struggling with a ton of heartburn!
  • I had awful heartburn the entire pregnancy and baby has blonde fuzz but not much actual hair!

THIS! I have found that eating crushed ice is the only thing that relives the burn!!
  • At this point, even TUMS give me heart burn. It's ridiculous!
