Hey sammy I recently finish my first round of femera with ultrasounds and unfortunately my follicles didn't mature. I'm not an expert but with this drug I think it's best that you have your ultrasound monitoring so you can see if the drug is helping you.!!!
Please get the appropriate monitoring (not just ultrasounds, but also bloodwork). You could risk over-stimulating and putting yourself at risk for multiples.
ETA: I think it's safe to assume that an OB is RX fertility meds. Please don't take fertility meds from an OB. If you have been trying for a while, please get to an RE.
I'm sorry I left out blood work and ultrasound monitoring I forgot normally when you are out on femera you RE will have you to come in and do blood work checking your hormone level and she also did ultrasounds of the ovaries to count the follicles and he see if they were maturing so sorry I left that out @bsckgb7
Yes I agree with others . I have heard of a lot of OBs prescribing femara and clomid and not really monitoring things . An RE really knows what to do . I think it would depend on what your issue is too. For me personally I wouldn't respond just to femara . I had to have femara and injectable meds due to my PCOS . I rarely ovulate on my own . But everyone is different so you could respond to just the pills !
