I am 37 and just started to ttc. I know this is very individual, but can you tell me how long it took you to conceive if you are around 37/38? I mean naturally, without IVF or Clomd..etc...Thank you ladies.
35 yo and I'm due Feb 10. We tried for 11 months and had a miscarriage a few months in before having a healthy pregnancy. Good luck & be good to yourselves as you TTC!
I'm 38. I had my last cycle with birth control in June, regular cycle/no birth control in July, pregnant in August. I charted with this pregnancy and my first pregnancy.
I am 37 and not quite 6 weeks pregnant. We were very lucky (and shocked, actually) this time to get pregnant the first cycle. Especially since getting a sticky pregnancy last time took us 6 months (at age 33), charting and basically BDing for most cycle days the month before it happened.

36 and 19 w 3 d. We weren't trying. I was pretty much pregnant the one time we didn't use a condom (I can't take hormone based birth control).
I know there's a lot of media attention around infertility after 35 but this is not the case for some women. In fact according to my doctor the highest rate of unplanned pregnancies is in women 35+. We don't hear about it that much because this age group also has a high rate of termination.
The reason some women get pregnant so easily when we're in theory supposed to be less fertile is that some of us get an increase of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH). This hormone causes eggs to mature and be released. Those of us that get an increase are also more prone to fraternal multiples.
If you'd like to get a better picture of your fertility have your FSH and your partner's FSH (his FSH is responsible for sperm production) tested.
I'm 42, I took out my iud September 2014 and am now 6 weeks pregnant so it took me about a year (I also only have one Fallopian tube due to an ectopic pregnancy). We weren't really trying however as far as I never did ovulation kits.
I'm lurking too, baby girl 2 weeks ago but this kind of feedback always kept me going when ttc. Surprise pregnancy at 38, lost baby (in siggy)
bfp #2 at 39 5 cycles - chemical
bfp #3 at 39 3 cycles - m/c
bfp #4 at 39 2 cycles - chemical (one and only IUI)
bfp #5 at 39 3 cycles - chemical
very next cycle bfp #6 at 40 DS!
bfp #7 3 cycles at 42 - DD!
No issues getting pregnant over 35 but took quite a few eggs to get my babies! I always temped and charted, by the time of bfp #7 I knew exactly which days we needed to have sex to conceive and believe that helped us get pregnant so quicky.

I'm 38 and 27 weeks pregnant. We were married last October, stopped BC before that, but didn't really try until January (took BC for wedding and honeymoon so I wouldn't be on my period - they were two separate months, then had his daughters at "that time" in December). Started trying in January, got pregnant in April, and will be having our first in January. I know it sounds cliche, but April was the first month I stopped documenting basal body temps, mucous and all that crap. I did do ovulation prediction tests around when I thought I might ovulate, but only needed three, and Bam! We got pregnant. (Even though DH "flunked" his sperm test!) Keep positive and don't put too much stress on yourself!!
35yo and just found out we are 4 wks prego. It's taken us 10 months. In month 8 we had a mc or perhaps it wss a chemical at 6.5 wks. That was rough, and we are cautiously happy now I guess you can say. Hoping this sticks, as I'll be 36yo in 3 weeks.
I'm 38 years old and due with my 2nd in 3 weeks (older dd is 17 yo).
I had my IUD removed on Feburary 2nd of this year (after 10 years with it) with our thoughts of "well, let's just see what happens" but not really trying or expecting much because we were on the fence about having another. I was pregnant within a few weeks.
I am 35 and DH is 42. I am 4w2d Just got our BFP today! DH is at work and doesn't even know yet!!
We were "not preventing" for 2 years and activity trying for a year. For about 4 months DH was taking fertility blend and I was taking cassava root, serrapeptase and prenatals. The only thing we did different this month was using opk and preseed. I have always felt ovulation pain on the left side, this month it was on the right. Not sure that makes any difference.
He has 2 bio children from a previous and I have 1. The youngest is 14!
(We ttc for a year in 2007 and got frustrated and gave up).
I got prego at 36. We tried for about 2 years so we thought maybe we just couldn't have kids naturally for some reason. I had undiagnosed thyroid disease for quite a while when I was younger and that could cause unexplained infertility. So DD was a surprise. Then of course I got prego again when DD was just 3mo. Another surprise.
I'm 38 and will be 39 when this baby arrives. We were not trying, literally had sex one time in September and surprise! I had DS when I was 34, that was about 8 months of ttc, and my DD when I was 36, again not trying but not preventing.
Age 39 - two months (this pregnancy) Age 29 - 8 months (but I was still nursing my oldest, so that may have been a factor) Age 27- Surprise! Not trying
For what it's worth, this time we were very committed to TTC - temping, OPKs, Pre Seed aiming to get busy every day of my fertile period. In my experience if I had relied on OPKs they would have just caught the very tail end of my fertile period. I generally got a positive day of or day before only. Possibly too late! Better to go by cervical fluid:)
Had my first at 31, we were not trying. This time we tried for a year and nothing. Decided to stop actively trying and counting days and boom... pregnant by the following month. I am 37 yrs old and 34 weeks.
Both times it took me 3 months. Used ovulation predictor kits. First pregnancy resulted in MMC at 12 weeks. Second pregnancy DD 12/10/15. We also helped the second pregnancy with "at home insemination" just to make sure we got enough swimmers during the fertile window.
I'm 37 and got pregnant on first cycle after stopping the pill - it was a surprise because I just assumed I would have difficulties due to my age...I'm 16 weeks
I'm 38 and we started trying in May and finally got a positive test on Halloween. I'm about 5 weeks. We were actively trying for 3 months and the pressure was too much so we basically weren't preventing and it finally happened. This is my 3rd, my son is 10 and my daughter is 3. I've gotten pregnant very quickly in the past (even got pregnant with an IUD) so this was a new experience. I think age definitely played a factor for me.
I conceived on my 38 th birthday, my second ovulation after my periods came back (I was around 10% body fat for a competition, so I lost my periods). I am pretty healthy, minus being too lean for several months. I am almost 11 weeks along, and so far, so good! (But have kissed the abs goodbye! )
I was 39 when I found out I was pregnant with #4. We had been using bc and the only thing we were trying to do was prevent pregnancy. LO is now two months old
I'm 37, DH is 36. We were happily shocked when we conceived after the first try. I'd been off BC a month and a half or so, but we used condoms during the first ovulation cycle off it (as I hadn't been taking folic acid for a month yet). I'm also fortunate in that my cycle is like clockwork and I get mild ovulation pains so knew when it was time to go do the BD.
Hi I'm 38 and 5 months along! I had my IUD removed and I got pregnant 2 months after! I have 2 older children 16 and 14 and conceived them very easy too.
I will be 36. With all three of our children it only took 1 try off birth control. I believe I'm a freak of nature/anomaly however. I literally do not know ANYONE else where this happened.
I turned 37 a few weeks after getting a BFP. We had been casually trying for 4 years. I had started taking metformin to regulate my cycles last November. It's not a fertility drug so thought I'd comment anyway. But it does help regulate ovulation.
I'm 36 and got pregnant on our first cycle TTC. If you haven't read this article about TTC after 35, you should https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/print/2013/07/how-long-can-you-wait-to-have-a-baby/309374/. Basically it says that your chances of conceiving are basically the same as they were before you're 35. Fertility really doesn't drop off significantly until 40. If you have difficulties conceiving after 35, you most likely would have had difficulty conceiving before 35. I found this article incredibly comforting before I was married and was worried about being able to get pregnant when I was older.
Had my first baby at 30, am 37 now and just got pregnant after first IUI. Am having some difficulty 6 weeks in and not sure which way it's going. Don't stress about your age!! Good luck!
I am 36, got pregnant 2nd cycle off Nuvaring. The same exact thing happen when I conceived DD1 (I was 34). I was amazed how fast it happened the 1st time and thought no way would we be that fortunate again (especially since I am over 35) but it did!!

I'm 35 and just found out today that I am pregnant. This happened on the 3rd cycle after stopping the pill. Only used OPKs (Clear Blue Digital Advanced) in cycle 2 and 3. I've been pregnant twice before (when I was 27 and 29) but lost both babies in the mid 2nd trimester. So with my being of "advanced maternal age" as my doctor puts it, I'm also high risk. But we have a treatment plan this time, and I have a perinatologist that I'll be seeing, so we're optimistic that this baby will stick. DH (also 35) has 2 older kids (10 and 11 yo) from a previous relationship.
I'm 37 (will be 38 in July). I am a few weeks pregnant with #2 and still a little nervous to come out as pregnant. We've been trying off and on for over a year. We started last August and I had a chemical pregnancy 10/2014. We were getting ready to start again when I was in a bad car accident. My wrist was broken and I was constantly getting X-rays to check on my healing. We also didn't know if I would need surgery and I had possible nerve damage so we put it off until I knew for sure. We started trying again in June/July of 2015.
