My baby was sick and is now over it. Was cleared to go back to day care and is no longer contagious. The only thing is that she has a stuffy nose and it's super super hard to get her to eat. She will eat but it takes tons of time and patience.
I am sending her back to daycare Tuesday. I am SO worried that they won't have the patience I do and I don't want them to just not feed her, I don't want her getting dehydrated which is something the pedi was keeping an eye on.
So my question is....babies can get stuffy noses ALL the time...how do they usually handle this? She can't be the first baby who is a nose breather that doesn't like eating from the bottle when the has a stuffy nose....and I can't stay home from work each time her nose is stuffy! Anyone know
Very worried momma here and I so need some information and reassurance, I need to go back to work and I am so so worried about the little one.
Thanks in advance!!
Re: Please help with day care question
I'm sure daycare is more than used to this. I'd just mention it to them when you drop her off and they should be willing to help out and keep an eye on her!
ETA. Also, if they don't already do so, I'd ask them to provide a daily report of when she's eating and how much so you can feel better about how she's doing. It sounds like you aren't getting much feedback perhaps?
And I can't imagine that daycare would just not feed her. That would be negligent! They are there to take care of your LO, no matter how long it takes (I would think/hope!).
