Induction

Tonight, I start my induction and I am having serious anxiety about everything. I have done this before, as I had preeclampsia last time and know what to expect, so I don't know why I am feeling this way! Just hoping you ladies could send T&P's or any words of encouragement my way to ease my mind.
Also, thank you all for being so great during pregnancy. I have had a lot of low points as I've been on bedrest most of the 9 months. All I had to do to make myself better was get on N15 community group and I new I was not alone in this. I wish you all happy and healthy babies with easy deliveries! And will keep you posted as William makes his arrival into this world.

Re: Induction

  • How far long are you? I go in for an induction next Sunday (37 weeks). The suspicion is that I'm developing pre eclampsia but I also have hints of cholestasis. I'm also nervous and unhappy about being induced again (this is my second and developed pre e about 39 weeks with my 1st). Good luck to you!

  • Well if it makes you any less nervous about what your going thru I was supposed to get induced on Monday but my son was beech when they checked at my Thursday doc appointment so I mitt have to get a c-section done instead and I'm terrified about it. My poor husband has been trying to calm me down by saying that's is not a big deal but it is such a big deal for me, I DON'T WANT TO GET CUT OPEN! Anyways I hope that makes you feel better because I would love to get induced and have a some what normal vaginal birth (especially for my first).. [-O< :(

  • Good luck! I just had to be induced this week. They started me right at 37 weeks and it took a really long time. I wasn't allowed to leave either. She was born Thursday morning and we were home that night already! The recovery has been much smoother this time compared to my first.

  • Thank you! I'm still scared but I've accepted what ever happens, happens for a reason. I trust that my doctor had or best interests at heart. But everyone's prayers are certainly appreciated so thank you!
  • Best of luck!
  • Hoping for a smooth induction and healthy baby.
  • I was induced at 37 weeks w DS1- blood pressure and protein issue. He was 6 lbs 1 ounce and was perfect. Stayed w me the entire time and we left the hospital shortly after delivery together in perfect health! Labor was longer than I would have liked (15 hours) but it was a regular delivery- no tearing, no c section nothing surprising. Good luck & don't worry! Your LO will be here before you know it & you ll feel better in no time :)
  • Good luck!!!!
  • Thinking about you and your sweet little baby!

My midwife swears by chiropractors for breach babies. She says most of the time they're able to get the baby to switch positions. Couldn't hurt to ask, right?

Edited because I am a grammar freak.
