Hello, My doctor just prescribed progesterone as my HCG is doubling but my progesterone is a bit low (was 12, now 11) Have any of you been on progesterone? Can you share your experience with me, please? I did not need it with my daughter and Am a little worried.

I'm on it. It's kinda gross but my levels improved drastically.

My level is 14.4, so doc put me on it. I haven't gotten my prescription yet.

Hey! My situation is a bit different sounding because I'm on progesterone due to setting pregnant by iui (due to infertility) but while being on it I have experienced little to no side effects other than a lot of fatigue. I have to stay on it until I am 12 weeks

I had lower progesterone levels (in the low normal range) even before getting pregnant. When I got pregnant, my doctor did a blood test and found my level was at 16 so she prescribed progesterone supplements twice a day. I find after taking the morning pill, I am more moody and impatient; this wears off by about 2 pm. After taking the pill in the evening, I am in bed by 8 pm usually and asleep soon after. I haven't had a reading done after taking the supplements so I don't know how much my levels have gone up.

I've been on it with every pregnancy except 1, so 9 times. I've done crinone, endometrim, generic progesterone. Wear a panty liner

My progesterone was 7. So I'm on crinone vaginal suppositories twice a day. It's just like putting a tampon in. The only thing that's really hard about it is it makes u soooooo tired

Thanks for the advice! I started having some very light red spotting today so my doctor is having me go in on Monday to repeat the blood work. I am glad I know what to expect with the medicine

Im on it and have been. I am unsure of the side effects to be honest. I had/have a chronic illness and have a ton of pregnancy symptoms. So its really hard for me to say right now whats what because i have been on the progesterone since the day of my IUI. I definitely find myself getting sleepy after, but I take it every night at 8pm so i am already getting tired around then. Otherwise there is nothing i can clearly say its from it, other than that if you have the vaginal insert its kind of gross. You arent supposed to stand up for i believe an hour after you take it. But whenever you finally do stand up its just kinda gross. Prepare to change your underwear twice a day. [Sorry if TMI!]

Thanks and definitely not TMi, I really wanted to know. Things aren't looking good though be I am continuing to spot

So I'm also on Progesterone when my levels went from 13.6 to 10.9 around 5 weeks. I was prescribed Prometrium 100MG, 2x daily. Weird thing is that it is a small pill/round capsule that is inserted vaginally. Nurse said the pharmacy would dispense a pill, but to take it vaginally anyway. Anyone else on this kind?

I will be tomorrow- my doctor prescribed the vaginal kind on Friday but no pharmacy had it in until Monday which is why I was asking about it let me know how it goes for you, I am nervous about all this !
