  • awww, @thistle8677!!!!  I'm sorry you feel down.  In the creepiest of ways I'm sorry and wish we could cheer you up.  This past cycle i had lots of down days and I hated the feeling.  Scared how I'm going to feel now that clomid is doubled and we are rushing the IUI.

Can you pretend to book vacations and looks at places to go, things to do?  My best friend is helping me by planning pretend trips to disney world.  We even made dinner reservations last night at the Be Our Guest restaurant.

    Sending you hugs.
  • I'm down, too.  :(

Sometimes it feels like this is never going to end.

  • Awww! @piperella & @CarrieandRoy love that so much.
I wish I were planning a fake trip to Disney...I'm afraid that will only make me sadder because I REALLY want to go there again! Ha. Okay, well maybe you're onto something. Maybe if I fake plan it, it will happen...

  • I love it.. Yes, there are disney withdrawals too.  My upcoming IUI was ALMOST postponed this month.. and my DH looked at me in the REs office and said "If we had a trip to disney, would you be okay skipping a cycle".  I said yes.  I then looked at the RE and told him the only way he could get me to cancel/skip a cycle is if he offered me a trip to disney.  He noted it in my file.

I love going on wdwmagic and seeing what upcoming stuff is coming in and out.  I have become an expert at WDW.  When i've needed breaks from obsessing about TTGP, I obsess about WDW.
  • I'm so sorry thistle. Sending you positive thoughts and hugs

  • Me too, oddly enough @BulgariHeart!
It's good to know that even if I'm struggling and feeling down I'm not totally without some optimism.
I'm going through a rough patch right now.

An estranged friend's sister just took her own life this week, I just got back from the memorial and it was sad. Last night we found out that my fiancé has hypothyroidism and most likely Hashimoto's (which could be why we aren't getting pg for the past almost 8mo.)

It's all kind of just a lot right now. My biggest concern is my man's health. He's been struggling for the past few years and it's just getting worse. I'm so relieved he finally went back to the dr. I couldn't imagine my life without him.
He was diagnosed with liver failure a few years back (at 26...and it wasn't alcohol related like they were hinting at), it's making more sense now when the same issues are present and he doesn't drink at all.

    I need a good cry.

  • Hang in there @thistle8677 !! So good to get a diagnosis for him finally and maybe with the meds he will feel much better and you will get pregnant in no time?! Hope you have a relaxing weekend :)
  • Thank you @1inthehopper...yea, I think meds will help for sure, but the autoimmune part is gonna take some dietary changes and god knows what else. I really thought he had this a couple of years back, but at that time the dr he saw was only in an urgent care system and then he never followed up. So, we have a lot of stuff to research and explore now. I just hope he doesn't have any kind of issues that are not treatable. So many unknowns right now. That's the worst. As we all know so very well in TTC.
You all are such an amazing support. Thank you for being here. It's helping. >:D<

  • So sorry for all that you're going through. Has he gone to an acupuncturist? I know they usually have a lot of experience in treating thyroid problems with herbs and diet changes. Sending you lots of hugs!

So sorry about your friend's sister too. So hard.
  • Oh goodness that is a full plate. I'm sorry you're in a rough patch. You will get better and so will your man. Just keep loving each other:). Stay positive.

    Current FET -- Transferred 2 day-3 embryos - BFN

  • So sorry - that's a lot to deal with and I hope your partner gets some help soon. Good news on the thyroid stuff, though, as they are typically able to treat it very successfully once they get the dosing right on the synthetic thyroid hormone. Very few side effects with the right dosage, too, which is a huge plus when you're dealing with other medical issues like his. FX that you get some progress soon!
  • Thanks everyone. I hope his thyroid regulates with meds, the problem is Hashimoto's is not just a thyroid issue, it's an autoimmune disease. It will be a life long struggle to balance it with diet and supplements. We both have hormonal issues so I'm feeling buried here. I'll be okay. We both will. Time to start the AIP (autoimmune Paleo) diet, for the next month, which is intense. I'm still trying to get him to pick a start date.

  • @thistle8677 - I have a handout from my acupuncturist for the Hashimoto's diet (she wanted me to mostly follow it to balance my wild PCOS hormones). Let me know if you want it and I can send it your way.

  • @jilligan14 yes please. I've been researching for years about this, but now we know we need to do the diet. And even though my crap dr won't diagnose me with PCOS, a naturopath suggested it years ago, so yea..no wonder we're having fertility issues. We're both hormonally challenged. #cc
I'll send you my email in a PM.
    Thank you xoxoxo

I don't get it, and I'm sure it's not easy to be the ones trying to get them on board. Lots of hugs and warm thoughts to you!
  • @Sporty1216 in preparation for this diet he went out and bought a ton of junk food, so that he can "indulge" one last time... b-(
