I'm high risk with twins. I have gotten an ultrasound both pelvic and regular every two weeks. I always get 8 or more pics and always the " it's a girl 1" and "it's a girl 2" shots. This last month they have been doing the 4d to get nice face/ profile pics but they haven't turned out great because one is cuddled with my cervix and the other has her face buried against the placenta, but nice to see they are doing well all the same.
19 weeks- a/s 22 weeks- another try at a/s (couldn't see profile or heart views 26 weeks- third try at a/s (still couldn't see heart view) 28 weeks- scan with cardiologist (no heart problems just a very stubborn little girl) I have another booked at 31 weeks for possible low amniotic fluid.. & one each week from 36 weeks-delivery because of a high bmi.
Lucky to see her often but she's defiantly gave us her fair share of worry!!
There was the dating ultrasound, the NT, the anatomy scan....
And then, because enlarged kidneys were spotted on the anatomy scan, an extra ultrasound was scheduled to check on those. They were fine then! But I have one more coming up in the couple of weeks--a growth ultrasound (they said because of my hypothyroidism, so I assume this practice doesn't do that for everyone).
So I'm not high risk, but I've had a couple of "extra" ones.
Is heartily apologizing to her child in advance for genes that predispose them to shitty vision and being Too Damn Tall.
I'm not high risk but my dr has done an U/S at least once a month, pretty much every appointment that's all she really does is ask me a few questions and then look at the baby for a few seconds. Just last appointment at 26 weeks she measure my belly for the first time. So I would say all in all I've had about 7-9 U/S. My friend at a different dr with different insurance has had the same.
2-3 is normal. I had one at 8 weeks to confirm pregnancy, then because my dr is fun and has 4 little bitties of her own, she brought in her little personal hand held sonogram to see baby at 11w, 15w, 19w, and my anatomy scan at 21 weeks where I learned gender. I have some friends in a sonography programs I've been spoiled to have some free just for fun ones at 23w, 28 w and again today at 31 weeks but I doubt I'll have any more from here on out unless something goes wrong
I have had 3 so far, one at 7 to confirm dating , one at 12, one at 20 and they scheduled me just today to come back in 2 for growth and weight. I'm a FTM but both mom and grandmother had 10LB+ babies and so far LO has consistently measured between one and two weeks ahead.
I've had four so far (one was elective) and will have one more for sure. 7 weeks (dating scan), 12 weeks (NT scan), 15 weeks (elective gender scan), 20 weeks (anatomy scan) and I have a growth scan at 35.
With my 2 previous normal pregnancies I had 2 dating ultrasounds (I have wacky cycles so they always brought me back for a second to ensure the baby was growing appropriately) an anatomy scan, and with both I wound up having a growth scan at 36-37 weeks due to my fundal height being way behind. Frankly I'm kinda tired of the weekly BPP ultrasounds with this one, I feel like I practically live at the OB's office
