This thread was an amusing way to spend the last 45 minutes
I got my flu shot yesterday, at my primary drs office. She ok'd the preservative-free vaccine. If you are considering getting the flu shot, ask for the preservative-free one, unless there is something in it you're allergic to (common sense).
I've gotten the flu shot every single year since I was a kid, with the exception of the last 2, as my "amazing" health care through the state (thanks, POTUS....) wouldn't cover it, AND the clinic I went to refused to let me pay for it. Needless to say, the last two years I got BEYOND sick. Insane.
The CDC site and your dr can verify that the "preservative free" vaccine isn't free of the preservatives and Mercury that are in the flu shot it however, does have less of those things in it. I'm just seeing where everyone feels the need to be absolutely correct in their responses so I wanted to clarify that because I keep seeing "Mercury free" and "preservative free". Either way, getting it or not is up to you in the end
