Possible false alarm

So I went the the ob/gyn today and she told me she was almost certain I had a miscarriage. She got my lab results back today and turns out my hcg levels have significantly risen! She said they looked very promising and that I'll go back in Wednesday for more blood work. I'm trying to not get too excited because there could be several things that cause rising hcg. But how could I not be at least a little excited??

Note: the bleeding was never really REALLY heavy. I never was heavy enough to fill up a pad. It was lighter than the average period by a lot. But much heavier than spotting. I also passed clots. So now it's just a waiting game to see where my levels go and what the ultrasound says on Wednesday!

Update: I was supposed to go in tomorrow to have my hcg checked, and I still am but now it's to make sure they're dropping. I passed the actual baby today with little/no bleeding surprisingly enough. I didn't feel it either but I found it when I went to use the bathroom. Took it to the ob and got it confirmed. DH and I plan to bury our LO at my parents house (because we're currently renting) and plant a flower over it. He and I are so grateful for the little blessing while we had it and praying for lots of lucky, sticky baby dust in December when it's safe to try again! Hopefully I'll be in September moms club for Christmas!
