Has this happened to anyone before? I'm supposed to be a little under 5 weeks. I'm very regular, never been over a day late, and I've had some mild symptoms. This would be my first pregnancy - I'm 33 y/o. Is it still too soon to know?
I didn't get my positive test until 5 weeks to the day but I got my IUD taken out just before that so who knows what was going on down there. Just keep taking tests - Something has to happen eventually, right?
Negative test means you are not pregnant at this time. You probably ovulated later than normal. Take a test once a week until you have a cycle day 60. Then call your OB.
Yes, it means you aren't pregnant yet or you are still too early to detect. Is your period always regular? You probably ovulated later this month (or not yet). There are a lot of factors that can make it late- weight loss, exercise, certain medications or even just the added stress of trying to conceive. Have you tried charting?
The best way to know when you ovulated is to temp or use an ovulation predictor kit (not quite as reliable bc you can have an LH surge and not release an egg). Good luck! Keep testing once a week till you get a BFP, AF shows up, or you reach CD 60 then call your doc.

This. You don't actually know you're late if you haven't been temping. Pregnancy tests detect really tiny levels of hcg so if the tests are negative you are not pregnant. I had an unusually long cycle last month, I randomly ovulated super late. If I was just using a calendar I would have thought I was a week late. I was not pregnant. It's also against the terms of use to ask us if you are pregnant.
As crazy as this seems-- the dollar store pregnancy tests are the most sensitive. I was able to see a very slight double line on that test before I could see it on a First Response one. Make sure you wait the full 5 minutes before checking the dollar store test!
