I'm 32 + 2 and he been cramping on and off all night. I fell asleep at one point so I couldn't imagine this is labor. Any thoughts? Really uncomfortable and walking/changing positions is not helping.
I've been having the same issue! And isn't constipation because I've been fine. it woke me up for over an hour last night. I finally sat up and propped myself up with a bunch of pillows and even though it didn't go away, I was able to sleep.
I want to add that two of my friends who are moms said that it could be baby stretching. It feels like bad menstrual cramps, she says. That's why I think sitting up helped!
I had severe lower pelvic cramping last week and was told to go into L&D when I called for advice (Kaiser). They did a huge work-up because I had been there twice in the last week with contractions that were timed like active labor but with no cervical change. After 4 hours of being there they moved the belt/monitor that is supposed to catch contractions higher up on my uterus and what do you know?!....actual contractions lasting 70 seconds and coming 30 seconds to 1 minute apart. So, it was the third time they had to stop them with meds in exactly one week. That being said, if you are worried I would go in and get checked. The lower pelvic pain I was having was so severe I couldn't even feel the uncomfortable "tightening" I feel with contractions. They never did explain the pelvic cramping but it significantly improved with 2000 mL of NS (fluid by IV) so I'm thinking mine was dehydration related. I'd call no matter what because you never know. It may be nothing but why take the chance that it is something that needs medical attention?
I did wind up calling the dr office but they still haven't called back. I'm afraid I'm going to wind up making a trip to the hospital just to make sure the pains are not changing the cervix. It's way too early to have this baby. He's got to stay in a lot longer!
