Shampoos and Conditioners that are safe

I was looking at my shampoos and conditioners and thought that these ones that enhance color can't be safe to use during pregnancy. I tried looking up safe ones and they said what ingredients to avoid but then they said most have these ingredients. Have you found any good chemical free ones? I'm a blonde so grease shows up easily in my hair so not washing it doesn't really seem like an option.
Thanks

Just a regular shampoo and conditioner should be fine. I use the plain old moisturizing suave. I've also used the pantene 2-in-1.
Eta: I think as long as it isn't medicated and doesn't have additional added chemicals it's fine.

  • 100% Pure is the brand I use. I haven't done a ton of research on it, but it's an all natural organic brand.

  • I ended up buying some of this organic vegan shampoo and conditioner. It didn't have any of the harmful ingredients the bump website said to avoid. Thank you for the help.
  • I use a lot of lush products, just love them lol. Been using them for 5-7 years now.
  • I didn't even know avoiding shampoo and conditioner during pregnancy was a thing and I'm on number 4... Thank God for my no-poo dreadlocks, not that I would worry about it if I didn't have dreads anyway.
  • I love The Honest Co. shampoo and conditioner.

  • I use beauty counter shampoo and conditioner. That company adheres to the same strict standards for cosmetics that Europe does. You can order online.

  • I use Acure products.

  • Thank you all for all of the input. I thought it might be a silly question, but you rub it in your scalp and it gets absorbed so I was cautious about what I was putting on/in my body. This is my first time and I haven't told my mother yet, who is a long time OBGYN nurse/manager. I would normally just go to her to ask questions. I feel like I have so many questions haha I am a biology major so it's in my nature to research everything.
  • Another vote for Acure! Free of lots of gunk, reasonably priced and they have a lemongrass version for oilies.
  • I like the Kiss My Face brand all organic and natural. I like it as a product not just because of pregnancy

  • Aveeno... Honestly my shampoo and conditioner is so far from my top list of priorities.

Cutting down on coffee, eliminating artificial sugar and eating healthy and what I'm worried about.

Oh good another thing to worry about... That being said I just ordered acure shampoo and condition online. I'm a sucker lol
  • Another vote here for everything Lush. Although the shampoo does have sulfate in it, that bothers some people, but so does everything at the drugstores.
  • Alterna is sulfate free!
  • Pureology is all organic and dosent test on animals but it's a little pricey. Here is a link to an awesome website for hair, makeup, etc https://www.safecosmetics.org
