Scariest night of my life!

Two nights ago we were just getting started having a little fun in bed, and I realized I felt more wet than usual. I looked down and there was blood all over. Then I went to sit on the toilet and it wouldn't stop, there were large clots and bright red blood. I rushed to the emergency room convinced I had just lost the baby. They informed me my cervix was still closed and to call my doctor in the morning for an ultrasound. Scariest night of my life! After the ultrasound they informed me I had a small hematoma in between my uterus and the placenta. But so far baby is healthy and growing fast. And due to the fact its small they aren't worrying much. I'm on pelvic rest for the next two weeks until I go back again. Praying everything works out. This will be my first little bundle of joy. Now there is just light brown spotting when I wipe, so hopefully it's healing up. Anyone else ever been through something like this? BTW I'm 12w 6d today.

My friend had a large hematoma and now has a very healthy and active 20 month old.

I had a very large one with my first. In the end mine didn't reabsorb or completely bleed out and it separated my placenta from my uterus. Nothing I could have done to change it ;(

Hugs! That is scary... Glad everything sounds like it'll be okay.
I had some spotting a few weeks ago, and at my 12w u/s they spotted a tiny bit of blood. I'm also on pelvic rest till 16 weeks (my next appointment). Get some rest, (my doctor said no strenuous activity or lifting)!

I had the exact same thing happen to me about two weeks ago (11ish weeks along).  I was really nervous because I didn't have any bleeding with my previous two pregnancies.  I also had an ultrasound and they discovered three small subchorionic hematomas. I was put on pelvic rest (which I hope gets lifted this Monday).  My bleeding turned into brown spotting after about 12 hours and the brown spotting stopped after 2 days.  I went back this Friday for my NT scan and everything looked great with the baby!  The bleeding can be scary, but I was told that the subchorionic hematomas don't cause harm to the mom or the baby and most of the time disappear.  I did google it though and found that if they become really large then it can result in the placenta separating from the uterus.  My doctors are just keeping me a closer eye on me until the hematomas resolve.

I had this with my last pregnancy. I had bleeding off and on until 16 weeks. I just made sure I took it easy. She's almost two now and as healthy as ever.

So scary! Glad to hear that it's brown and cervix is closed. I had spotting earlier with this pregnancy and I was pretty scared for those weeks.

I kinda had a similar experience. My spotting ended over night and the docs told me i was experiencing a threatened miscarriage. But the baby was healthy. Thank God for His grace and mercy. Praying for you

I just had some bleeding like this last night, very fresh bright red blood and steady for about an hour. I called the after hours number at my doctor and all she said was "well if it is a miscarriage there is nothing we can do. Just monitor it until Monday and call back if you're concerned." Well lady I am concerned that's why I called! I had a MMC last September and a molar last December, so yes I am concerned. I'm calling first thing tomorrow to talk to my actual doctor. Thankfully the bleeding stopped, but it freaked me out as it was so fresh looking.

I'm glad that everything is progressing well. Wishing you the best, I know how scary it feels!

Going through this right now... Lots of bleeding Sunday night, stopped over night and more Monday. Now it just seems like spotting and I'm waiting on an ultrasound tomorrow. Hopefully little guys ok in there. They did an emergency u/s in the er Sunday and it was moving lots and good heartbeat. I'm 15w today.
