Ovulation test confusion! Need help!!

My husband and I experienced a miscarriage in July we were advised by the doctor to wait two cycles before trying to conceive again well that time is here now and I have a clear blue ovulation kit that says I'm fertile with the smiley face but the first response ovulation tests are only showing one pink line can someone please help me understand why this is happening and if we try to conceive based on the clear blue will we get pregnant ?

    It was the flashing smiley. Which I know doesn't exactly mean ovulation. The two times I tested before that it was a clear circle which I know meant low. This is all just so confusing and I just want to make sure we're ttc when we actually have a chance.

    Flashing smiley is detecting an increase in estrogen - so it makes sense you only have 1 line for the first response which is detecting only LH -you should see a second line on the first response when you get a static smiley on the clear blue.

    I would BD atleast every other day if not every day from now until two days after you get the static smiley.

    I had the best luck with those when we tried the day of the smiley and at least one day after. I always used the clearblue, so I never compared to the first response ones, but I did several cycles on them and trying several times before and after the smiley showed up was what ended up working for us. Pay attention to other signs of ovulation too and that will help!

    Thank you so much! Of course my husbands away for a guys weekend so I was sure to try last night and will be sure to try when he gets home! I appreciate the input!
