Adoption

Hi! I'm new to the forum

I'm new to the forum, but not to adoption. We adopted from foster care in 2013. We are still contemplating whether we want to pursue adopting domestically.

Hoping to meet some wonderful adoptive Mommas and be able to encourage each other along our journeys! My son is 4 - I have a long way to go. :)
TTC 7+ years - 3 failed IUI's; not going the IVF route; stopped treatment December 2013.

Became licensed for Foster Care: March 2011
Adoption Finalized: December 2013

  • Is it too much for you emotionally and for your child to foster/adopt again?

  • I know it's been almost 2 years since we adopted, but yes, in the back of my mind, I remember the emotional roller coaster our lives were. I can't convince myself that it's okay to have our son experience it.

  • I would agree. We're starting the roller coaster again but it's with a sibling. Big difference IMO.
