okay so I am 5 weeks and I keep having full cramps off and on and sometimes they last for long periods! I am so anxious about them! Dull not full cramps and a slight backache is this normal????
there are a ton of threads about this and every result in each is that this is completely........normal.
But if they're really causing you pain or accompanied by blood, call the doc. Lurk the 1st tri board and you'll get a lot of comfort over the fact that mild cramps are nothing to worry about.

I'm 4 weeks and 3 days. The last full week I've had horrible cramps (sometimes bad enough to wake me up from a dead sleep in tears) that come and go but last a good 20-30 min when they are there.
With that being said, everything I've read and found (here and in books, and speaking to my OBGYN) have said that this is all very normal if not accompanied by bleeding. One thing that has helped me is taking Colace the last couple days. For the past two days I've not felt the cramping even half as bad. Pregnancy can constipate you. Especially if you're not used to taking a prenatal vitamin and now you've added that into your daily routine. Prenatal's have iron in them. Maybe you are constipated like I've been?
I absolutely am getting RLP already. When I looked into it, I read it was very unlikely for a FTM, but a possibility for a STM. The pain is unforgettable. The ripping feeling when I sneeze. Or when I get out of bed. Or something stand up from a chair... Yikes. I honestly forgot about RLP :-(

Agreed! I jumped off the bed yesterday and OUCCCCCCH. This is my second.
@NicknShan I totally didn't know that RLP could start this early with a second child. I've been thinking I'm dying anytime I sneeze or get up too fast! Glad to know I'm not crazy.

As others have said, cramps are normal. Be on the look out for blood though.
On the round ligament discussion, it feels different than cramps. There are a couple times I have felt a pull already in my hip area. I am a STM, we get bigger quicker, so yes, I think round ligament pain is possible.
