GBS???

I tested positive for GBS...anyone else have this issue or have delivered previously with Group B strep? What has your doctor's told you?? I'm asking bc my doctor IS NOT VERY INFORMATIVE....

there's so many threads on GBS.  Basically you get IV antibiotics during labor, ideally 4 hours before you deliver to prevent transmission to baby.  It's a natural gut bacteria that some women have and some women don't that's basically harmless to us as adults but can cause serious complications for baby if they catch it, that's why they give you the IV, it cuts down the risk dramatically.  Here's an informative link for you:  https://sogc.org/publications/group-b-streptococcus-gbs-infection-in-pregnancy/
