LO not attempting to talk ??

My little guy just turned one on the 9th and he only will say DaDa and every once in awhile say "Nuna" (meaning Luna, our dog). He knows what most everyday objects are however and will point at them when asked, but other than baby babble all we can get out of him is the same little monkey-esque sound over and over and a point at whatever it is he's interested in at the moment? Is this normal? Is anyone else's LO making repetitive noises??

It's perfectly normal. I know a few children that didn't talk until they were 3! Every child is different, but it sounds like he is learning!
