Have you tried propping yourself up at night? Breathing techniques? A humidifier?

Sleep with your head a bit elevated. If it gets really bad I sleep sitting up. Every so often I have this. It's not as if I am actually having problems breathing, it's just that my mind doesn't feel it's getting enough air. It's because of how baby is positioned sometimes.

If this is a long term problem that can't be resolved with sitting up, I'd call your doctor.

Yeess on and off!! As PP mentioned, I normally try breathing techniques and sitting up.

Yes I have this! Even when sitting still. It's so annoying. Sorry... I don't have any advice to offer, just commiserating haha

@betocarol hey so I called my OB and let him know I had been having issues breathing, and numbness at random in one or my legs. I'm getting sent to the ER. I'm not saying you should go to the ER, but I AM saying to let your OB know. I was told if it was just my leg, I'd be sent to get an MRI, but because I am having breathing trouble too, he wants me to get checked for deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary emolism. So please call if you haven't and be safe rather than sorry. Good luck to you and yours and many blessings.

Baby is compressing on our diaphragm and squishing everything together. I find myself with this issue a lot, especially after eating. I try to take a walk or at least stand up, I find sitting down makes it worse.

I have been having this issue and badly. My episodes as I call them usually last 5-8 mins everyday. But a scary one lasted 30 mins and ended with me getting a CT scan for DVT . Thank god no clots. Then we looked into my meds and it turns out diclegys has a side effect that affects breathing. I have been on it for months now so that explains it. not fun it feels horrible.

oh yes, this has been on and off my entire pregnancy. Lately though it's really horrible if I eat more than a very small portion at one time--which is hard because I love food so much!! Lying down definitely makes it worse unless you're propped on a few pillows.

This pregnancy baby is high and I know I just don't have room. However during my previous pregnancy I kept feeling like I just couldn't catch my breath, often when I was just sitting. It turned out to be asthma. I had it as a kid but it went away when I was around 13-14. It had been so long I honestly didn't remember what an attack felt like anymore.

I was already seeing an asthma and allergy specialist for chronic hives so he did the testing and got me on inhalers. The inhalers made a huge difference.
