Heart Rate Monitor

Hi all,
Anyone have any insight on using a HRM when you're pregnant. I'm about 6 weeks and was just thinking if I have the monitor on my chest monitoring my heart could that somehow effect the baby? It's something I'll bring up with my doctor but thought in the meantime I'd get your opinions.

I have a Fitbit HR & it picks up my heart rate & I am 6 weeks 2 days ! In the past month my resting heart rate has been way higher then normal except this week it seems to be just a few beats higher. It's scaring me that it's not picking up babies heart rate anymore? I don't know maybe I'm being crazy!
