I'm 30, and a bit of an introvert, but I would really like some mommy friends. While all of the classmates I graduated with are also having babies, I have no desire really to pretend we were ever friends. Is there a real Match.com for mommies? What are you guys doing to find your bestie with a baby if you don't already have one?

I had a lot of friends who were pregnant at the same time. But I have joined a moms group via fb but its for moms of children with d.s. and they do playdates and moms night out. I have heard lots of moms use breastfeeding groups too.
I know nothing about what is in Jersey so can't help you with specific groups.

I started hanging out a lot with a girl from our church who had her baby a few weeks before I did. I also have met several people in my breastfeeding support group!

I'm in Canada but our regional departments run mommy groups. I attended a six week group for new moms. Each week was a different discussion and also allowed for general discussion. The 10 of us have contined to meet weekly since the group ended. Maybe look into free programming in your area?

A couple girls I did prenatal yoga with showed up to baby and mom yoga. Next thing I know we are forming a play group to meet once or twice a month. We have a FB page and everything. So excited as they are down to earth and know about my weird feeding situation which makes way less anxiety. In fact the girl I thought was "perfect" messaged me after yoga one day for advice thus proving everyone has baby issues

I joined meetup.com and found a group in my area. It's been really nice so far. Some moms I've clicked with and some are nice but not really my type. But that's ok! It's great to just get out and have adult time while LO tries to interact (depending on the activity).

Jealous! All the meetup groups in my area are for SAHMs. Middle of the day on Tuesdays just don't work...

I also tried meetup but the only group in my area (rock on, small town) is for parents with slightly older kids, as they meet at the McD's around the corner from my house to hang out while all their kids run amok in the playground. Doesn't help me much

Oh we're close then!  I'm in Bordentown.  I went to TCNJ so I know Ewing well... lol.  Are there any mom groups near you?  I can't seem to find any down here.  There's a group on meetup.com for all of south NJ, but that is such a wide range.  I have to muster up the courage to just join!
