Pregnancy Journal?

Are you guys keeping a pregnancy journal, blog, scraboook, etc?  If you are, tell me about it!

Second (or more) time moms - Did you or do you wish wish you had done this with your first baby?

I personally want to do it, but I need ideas.  I'm leaning towards a blog, but there are so many out there!

Re: Pregnancy Journal?

  • I had a book called "The Belly Book." It's an awesome way to document your pregnancy. Every week you place a picture of yourself, symptoms, current events, etc. I love looking back at now that I'm expecting my second LO. :)

  • I'm using "The Belly Book"
    Me: 31 | DH: 33
    DD: 05/14/16
    Baby #2 EDD: 12/23/19
  • I started to do one with DD but gave up. Just not my thing. But I do recommend most women at least start one. Better to start one and decided not your thing than get to the end of pregnancy and wish you had.

I found sheets online and made my own with a binder.

  • I have the belly book too!! What's so cool is my mom kept a pregnancy journal when she was pregnant with me, not only with pictures and milestones but with all her thoughts, feelings, fears, weird symptoms etc., and she never let me see it until I got pregnant with my first. It's so fun to compare and I have so much more in common with her as far as pregnancy goes than we realized!!! I plan to keep the tradition going for my babies. :)
  • I've started a journal and am planning on using throughout our little ones life to document the big milestones. I started writing in it once we found out and it's been fun to write to our little one about what's going on and how we feel
  • I'm using 40ish Weeks: A Pregnancy Journal - and I love it!

  • All awesome ideas!! I'll definitely go to Barnes and Noble and check out the belly book and others. I love the idea of passing it on to your daughter! How special!
  • I got The Pregnancy Journal at Babies R Us. It has more stuff to read than it does to actually fill in, which I like cause I know I probably won't have a lot of time. Plus, I like having a little blurb to read every day of my pregnancy.

  • I didn't do it with DS and now I totally wish I did! I have to start one this time just to document memories. I also didn't do a baby book for him and I really regret that as well.

  • I journaled off and on throughout pregnancy and at least once per month during DS's first year. I turned the 1st year journals into introductions for each month in DS's baby book. We have some entries from my perspective and some from DH's. I was really, really bad at keeping up with belly pics. I think I have pictures from week 4 (baseline), week 8, 12, 16, 20, 24?, 37?, and after my water broke (DH thought it was cool that he could see baby's outline once so much fluid was out).
  • I just got a blank journal with a pretty cover, it says "something beautiful is on the horizon" and I'm using it to record my questions, symptoms, thoughts, pictures, etc. I am a little obsessive so I didn't want something with guided questions/pages because I would feel like I have to answer everything and if I missed something then I would give up. This way I can just write what I want to!

  • My Mum bought me a maternity journal and gave it to me when she found out we were TTC.. I've been trying to write in it once a week... I think it will be nice to look back and see how I felt through this new adventure..
