Follicle sizes and trigger shot

Hi Ladies! I am on my second round of clomid and had way more follicles grow than my 1 on my first cycle!! ..today had follicle sizes of 1.9 , 1.7 , 1.6 and two 1.5s I am cd12. Going to trigger tomorrow night.

Do you think all the follicles will mature or just the 1.9 ?
I am hoping for more than one as I was unsuccessful last month and hoping to have a few for a better chance of one catching!

What was your estradoil level?  The hormones are just as important as follicle size.

Also, my RE noted several studies that show 1.4 contain viable healthy eggs.  So you should be good.  Some REs even say 1.6 is mature.  I'm guessing your RE says 1.8 is mature?

Is that in cm?  Anything above 18mm or 1.8cm would be considered mature.  Most RE's like to see 1 at at least 18.  It looks like you definitely have 1 and will probably have 2 by the time you O.

@bsckgb7 yes me RE considers 18. He didn't check my estradiol. I am on my last day of 4mg a day prescription. My lining is always pretty thin they seem to think it will be okay currently at 7mm was 6mm on Wednesday.

Do the follicles grow from the time of trigger to ovulation??. I have read that they do but the nurse told me that they don't so not sure

My RE wanted me to trigger Sunday to let them get a little bigger but I have to do Saturday because my DH is going out of town Monday morning so we would miss the 24 and/or the 36 hour mark..

Can you trigger Sunday morning and have sex Monday morning?  To give them plenty of time to catch up?

@pmnf26 follicles continue to grow until they release, usually at a rate of about 1-2 mm per day. A woman may ovulate more than one follicle in a cycle, but the releases will occur within 24 hours. When hCG is not used, only follicles close in size are likely to release. The use of hCG induces ovulation in about 95 percent of women, and will get most mature follicles to rupture.

I had a day 15 ultrasound today and the tech said I did not have too much growth from day 12 (I had a 11.4 and a 14.5). My nurse called and said to trigger this evening (which I just did...first time and I felt like a boss haha!).

@bsckYea I could but he really suggest to have sex at the 36 hour mark and said the 12 hrs between Saturday night and Sunday morning won't make much of a difference ( he told me originally to trigger Sunday night )

@babyexpress thank you so much for the information. That is what I though was the case so I was confused when she told me no..

@takethelongway were those numbers from your cd15 or cd12? Is your doctor suspecting the 14.5 won't grow any larger, or is she counting that as mature ?

@pmnf26 those were my day 12 numbers, but the tech said they were slow pokes and that the 11.4 hadn't grown and the 14.5 grew a slight bit. She had me trigger evening of day 15 because she said blood work showed I was beginning to surge on my own so I'm guessing she counted them as mature.

@takethelongway thank you! Yes that make sense, my RE hasn't done any blood work which I think it weird seeing that everyone else has blood work done to check estradiol and for surge. I am a little concerned about that...

@pmnf26 it is odd that they wouldn't do blood work. Mine does a ton. I go in 10/2 for a progesterone check and then 10/9 for my hcg. I do know my lining was only a 6 on day 12 so they are having me do Estrace vaginally until the hcg test on 10/9. It helped a lot because on day 15 I was at a 9.5. I only hope the trigger grew the follicle enough

@takethelongway Yes I wish I had some blood work done- I had very bad cramps on Sunday evening and I am afraid I ovulated then because I was told to not have sex Sunday . Just Saturday night after trigger and Monday morning (36 hrs after trigger) I was more like 36.5 hours (hopefully that's okay) I am afraid I missed my chance be not bding on Saturday. And I think blood work would have helped accurately determine if I was going to ovulate earlier than the 36hrs. I am wondering because my insurance doesn't pay for anything so they are trying to keep the cost down by only doing things necessary--- ehh I don't know
I am not even coming back in for progesterone check. Just have to do a pregnancy test 2 weeks from today.
My lining tends to be low I was 6mm on Wednesday and grew to 7mm Friday hopefully it stayed or increased!
