Hello everyone! I'm happy to finally be able to contribute to the threads!

I am 32, my husband is 29. We've been married for 8 1/2 years and TTC over 3 years.

We were an active duty military family so it took us a while to realize there may be a fertility issue. I say this because my husband was employed the first 4 years of our marriage off and on.
Military docs refused to diagnose me and said I was fertile, almost just by looking at me.

June 2013 I had a dye test after we moved and learned my right tube was all tied up.
I tried to get in with RE and was literally cancelled and rescheduled by office 3x in a row. I got discouraged and stopped trying for several months.

I have been seeing current RE since December 2014.
All labs came back normal and my husband's sperm was normal too. My AMH was 3.96.

Tried 3 months on fermara 2.5 mg TI. Had lap in July and found stage 1 endo. Doc unstuck left ovary which was set back and found my right tube was now open.

Did more fermara and TI and this month had first IUI. I've done cycles with ovulation trigger shot as well, nuvarel.

I use fertility friend and take my basal temperature religiously.

I did 2 sessions of acupuncture and have tried various supplements. I'm healthy and exercise regularly.

No luck. We're so frustrated and sad.

I'm glad to be here and hope to relate and give/get some feedback.

Welcome! I just recently joined and have found this community so helpful!

My husband was in the military when we first moved in/got married and deployed / was away for training for the first 5 years... We thought we were being responsible waiting until we were settled - I am 32 now as well and we have been trying for just about 3 years now. Husband is is now out of the mil and we are back home.

Im sorry it was such a nightmare with your RE in the begining, hopefully it has smoothed out since.

Anyway, welcome, and I hope you don't have to stay for long!

  • Thanks for your response. We were the same way...didn't want to have a baby with him deployed so often.

What is your diagnosis? I hope you have a good RE and are able to be a mom soon.

    Take care.
  • I i do not have any issues they were able to ID, my husband has a minor vericolsis which causes low SA numbers - especially morphology for him. His SA came back great for our last IUI, fx it is just as good this week.

  • Welcome @misshopeful1.  It sounds like you're on track now.  I'm sorry it took so long to get there.  TTC is probably the most frustrating and disheartening thing I've ever experienced.  There is a lot of support available here.  I hope you have luck soon!
    *** Child & current pregnancy mentioned ***
    Me - 41 (PCOS), Hubby - 43 (healthy)
7/2013 - Sweet baby girl born (Clomid + TI)
    3/2014 - TTC #2, return to RE 7/2014
12/2015: IVF #1 transferred two great looking embryos - BFP!
First ultrasound: TWO beautiful little heartbeats!!
Harmony: negative; level 2: babies look great and are boy/girl! :)
  • @vssbrm, glad you don't have any diagnosis. Good luck with the BD! :)

@emsmama15, thanks for the reply. It is discouraging. Sometimes I feel silly for being hopeful, but really that's what keeps us going.
